"Wait here, I'll be right back yeah?" After a quick peck on my cheek, Alex exits the cinema room to go and get the Indian takeaway which has just arrived.
I smile as I tuck my hair behind my ears, shifting positions on the huge cinema styled chair to get more comfortable, looking at the huge screen in front of me. We had already managed to watch the entire last Hunger Games movie waiting for this ridiculous take out - Alex insisting after he found out I hadn't watched it yet and it shocked him greatly. I have a 4 year old! Having a 4 year old was hard work! There is hardly any time for watching new movies and other leisurely activities like that.
We had now decided to watch an old episode of Doctor Who, since both of us have had a fascination with the show since childhood, yet another thing we had in common.
After I heard the door of the cinema room close after him, I realised that the 3 minute celeb news had popped up, and Alex's picture stood 10 feet tall, the blonde presenter's voice muted by the TV.
I reached over to the controls on Alex's seat and pressed the mute button again, letting the presenter's voice flood the entire room.
"Katherine Gold has spoken out once more about her short lived love affair with billionaire heartthrob Alex Darkbloom." The presenter spoke, and I suddenly felt a deep sense of uncertainty brew within me once more, just like when I first saw the magazine yesterday before the date at the science museum.
It was then when it cut away from the presenter, and the screen was replaced with the brunette beauty known as Katherine Gold, and her voice flooded the room through the huge speakers.
"It was... Like everything I wanted, and more," She spoke, sitting on a red chair, microphone clipped onto the neckline on her tight, black dress. "Yet, all of it just fell out from under us, and apparently I wasn't good enough for him."
"Wow, looks like Katherine is not going to let this scandal die down anytime soon, even though Alex has been keeping out of the limelight of recent times." I kind of zoned out after that, not listening to what was coming out of her mouth after that.
Is she telling the truth? Or is she making this out to be something way worse just for the sake of her career?
'Why are you even here?' I think to myself, and shake my head as I use the controls on the chair next to me to turn off the screen, letting silence fall between all four walls.
I sigh deeply, letting my head fall back onto the back of the seat, and closed my eyes.
"Why am I here?" I whisper to myself, and suddenly all the happy moments of the past two days disappeared.
"To have a takeout?" I look over to the door, where Alex stood, holding up a bag of food. "And hopefully to have a good time?"
"Sorry, I didn't realise you were there." He walks on over, sitting himself down next to me.
"Well, here I am," He gives me a sincere smile, which only made me feel worse. "And I hope you're hungry, and are excited for some awesome TV viewing." He used the controls to turn the TV on again, and I am thankful that the celebrity news section only did last 3 minutes and had finished.
"It's Doctor Who, and not just any Doctor Who, it's with David Tennant. I'm ready as ever can be."
"Fabulouso," I look at him, sort of questioning. "Yeah, I won't be saying that again."
