"Wait a second!" I call from outside of the bathroom, trying hard to zip up my dress from behind.

"Come on babe, we're going to be late." Alex replies from outside the door, tapping his foot impatiently. "Grayson said 7!"

"Give me another minute!" I call back, and then sigh in defeat. "Can you help me?"

"With that?" His voice suddenly sounds suspicious, and a little naughty.

"No, stop being crude!" He replies to my surprised words with a hearty laugh, leading me to smile as well. He always does this to me!

"Come out here then and I can help you with whatever you wish, my darling." He teases, leading me to open the door and peer out at him.

"Can you zip my dress up?"

"I thought that's what boyfriends usually do, I was waiting for you to ask." He says as I walk out of the bathroom, showing off the gold wrap dress I brought today with Jules, slightly lower cut neckline than I usually go for, but still my style.

"The zip's weird," I tell him, pulling my waved raven hair to the side to expose my back. "I tried doing it myself but it was hard."

When a few seconds went by of him just standing there, I look over my shoulder to him quizzically. "Well?"

"You look..." He lets out a slight breath. "Really hot, babe."

"Aw," I smile. "Quick, zip me up so I can kiss you my thanks."

He laughs once more and I feel his cold fingertips dancing over my exposed skin on my back as he fiddles with my zip, pulling it up to the top. I then turn to face him, letting my hair fall down from my shoulder again and down my back.

"Wow, look at you," He smiles, wrapping his arms around me. "You're going to be the talk of the party."

"Oh, I hate being the center of attention," I grimance.

"You deserve to be," He tells me. "You look absolutely stunning."

"Are you sure?" I almost whine towards Alex as I pull away from him to look at myself in the mirror, turning both left and right to try and examine every single angle of myself.

"Ave," He walks back up and wrapping his arms around my waist, looking at me through the mirror. "Seriously, there are no words to describe how gorgeous you look right now."

"But are you sure it's appropriate?" I rephrase.

"Yes, it's appropriate." He confirms with a quick chuckle. "Now come on, we're going to be late."

"It's just," I turn on my heel to look him dead in the eye. "I'm meeting your sort of people now, I need to know whether this would make a good impression or not."

"My sort of people?" His smirk was definitely one of amusement, which caused me to playfully swat him across his arm. "They're going to fall in love with you just like I did."

"Something tells me that's not what is going to happen tonight." I turn to look back in the mirror again.

"Come on," He wraps one arm around me again, and pats me gently on my stomach. "We're going to be late, and you don't want to see my cousin pissed."

"All right," I take hold of his hand and walked out of the bedroom with him. "Jules, are you ready?" I call down the stairs and into the living room where Jules was getting ready for the party. I still haven't decided if taking her to such a party is a good thing, but we can only find out soon, right?
