Logan has literally been staring at me for what seemed like a decade when Emma kindly dropped the bombshell that Alex and Poppy were in fact Alex and Poppy Darkbloom, billionaire heirs to the Darkbloom estate and music company. We had sat ourselves in a local ice cream sundae shop, and his sundae is currently melting right in front of him as he just stares at me, blinking a few times.

"What the flip did I just hear?" I press my lips together to form a line. "You. And a billionaire?"

"Why does everyone have to bring up the fact that he's a billionaire?" I voiced my annoyance. "I mean, he's so much more than the amount of money he has in his bank account."

"Where did you even meet him?" He furrowed his eyebrows, and suddenly I realise the man in front of me isn't the same step-brother I have seen in all the time I have known him. He's not that goofy, idiotic boy. Now he's... Concerned?

"At the bakery." I give a quick shrug of my shoulders. "Well technically I met him a year ago, at Gaby's engagement celebration thing."

"At the night club?" I only reply with a nod. "Ava... Isn't he like some sort of womanizer?"

"Not you as well." I put my face into my hands, and then looked up to him again. "Look, Alex is one of the loveliest men I have ever met in my life, ever." I was getting increasingly frustrated with this whole 'womanizer' thing. It was like every turn I took, every person I spoke to, that's the first thing always brought up. Always.

"I don't trust him." He was bluntly honest, which made me appreciate him more so as a brother. I never really had anyone to look out for me before. "I just don't want to see you getting hurt, Ave."

  "I won't," I spoke. When he raised an eyebrow, I replied again "I won't!"

"You've got Emma to think about as well."

"I am thinking about Emma," I felt like I began defending my actions. "Seriously if you meet Alex, you would know that whatever image the media have given him, it couldn't be further from the truth."

"Still Ava, and I mean this in the nicest way possible sis," He sighs. "What would a billionaire heir be doing in this part of London? Walking into a small, family run bakery?"

"A part of me hopes its because he isn't like any ordinary celebrity, he just wants some normality in his life?" I was questioning with my tone, almost like I didn't believe it myself. Logan's words rang a sense of truth within me. "But Logan... This is the first time anyone has even looked at me like this in years."

"I get that sis," He reaches over and places a hand over mine. "And I'm really happy for you, but you need to make sure that this guy is legit. Not because he's a billionaire. Not because he's some random celebrity with 6 mansions or whatever ridiculous amount of houses he has, because nobody would be good enough for my sister until he proves to all of us that he's worth it."

"I don't see you getting this protective over Gaby."

"Because Gaby made her bed and she's already laid in it, no matter how much I hate disgusting Dave." Dave is definitely disgusting. "At least I can give my advice to one sister that actually listens to me."

"Thanks Logan," I am truly grateful for him in my life.

When I glanced down at Emma, I see her scooping up the last  remaining drops of ice cream in her cup. "I just wanna have some fun really, is that so bad?" I ask him.

"No, of course it isn't, god knows you deserve some fun," He leans against the table with his folded arms. "I just can't bare to see you two girls hurt, and I mean it, if this guy even makes either one of you shed one tear, I'm coming for him."

"Seriously Logan, if you ever meet Alex, you'll realise how lovely he is, even though I've only properly known him for a few days."

"So, when are you going to introduce him to the family?" I give him a look of terror, which made him laugh. "We're not that bad, you know."

"I know, but there's one person I'm pretty sure I do not want Alex to get to know, he'll run for the hills otherwise."

  "What, Jules?"

"Please, Jules has already met and clung onto him for the world's longest hug, you underestimate her and her celeb radar." The corner of his mouth raises and turns his mouth into a lopsided - almost love sick grin upon hearing about Jules again. "And he's already met Mum and Jason, really it's just you, Jack, Grandma Grace and..."

"Gaby?" I nod as I pull a face. "Yeah, I can see your predicament there."

"She's supposed to be your sister."

"She's supposed to be OUR sister," He corrects me, reaching over for his spoon to take a bite out of his own ice cream as he was too busy in shock about the developments of my recently resurrected love life. "But the amount of stuff Gaby's pulled, even I've given up."

  "Where is she now?"

"Well, she should be flying back in tonight from Malta with disgusting Dave," He placed the spoon into his mouth. "So be wary of a lovely visit from her."

"I feel like sarcasm is like our family motto or something."

"I can't believe you've only just figured that out." We both laughed again before being quietened down by Emma tugging the sleeve of Logan's hoodie.

  "Uncle Logan?"

"Yes EDP, what can I do to help you my darling?"

"Alex is a really nice person," She began to speak. "I think you'll like him!"

"Do you think so?" She nods enthusiastically. "Well then, if I'm going to believe anyone, then I'm going to believe my beautiful niece down here then."

As Logan and Emma descended into their own chat, my mind began to wander again. Is Logan right with his concern over Alex? I mean... This isn't just any ordinary relationship after all. Again, like everyone always seems to get caught up in, he's a billionaire. He's famous. He's adored. He's recognised everywhere he goes.

  And I'm... Not.

And we haven't even factored in the media yet. Nobody knows I exist. But surely that would change as soon as we are spotted out and about. Even mega famous people can't deal with the the paps constantly intruding into their lives, trying to picture everything and anything, every single moment if possible. Their relationships break down, so what makes it that we could last?

I glance out of the window to the empty London street outside, the light sunshine that shone from behind the clouds in the sky lighting up the street.

Why am I suddenly thinking this was going to be some sort of long lasting fairytale relationship? The day before I had already come to the conclusion that all I wanted was a bit of fun, and however long Alex and I lasted, it would have been worth it for how he made me feel in that moment in time.

By this point, everything just felt like it was just going round and round, on a constant repeat.

'What the hell even is this?'
