-ALEX-
"Alex?" Emma's voice spoke as we sat in front of the TV, eating our ice cream out of our bowls.
"What's up Em?" I question, looking down to her beside me on the sofa.
"Are you my Mummy's boyfriend?" She looks up to me to meet my gaze, all innocently.
"Why, what has she said?"
"That you look like Harry from One Direction," She admits. "And she really likes Harry."
"Does she now?" I raise an eyebrow; as usual a smile playing on my lips as I listened to the 4 year old begin to admit all of her Mother's embarrassing secrets she probably didn't want me hearing.
"She said once that the only man she'd marry is Harry," She creases her forehead as she went into thought. "But she also said that you make her feel pretty."
"Well I'm glad," I spoke. "She makes me happy."
"Are you going to marry my Mummy?" She asks, again all innocently. "Because Poppy and I had said before you went off on holiday that you and my Mummy should get married, and Poppy and me should be flower girls."
"Why don't you tell you Mum that, eh?" I tease.
"I did, but she just told Aunt Jules and my Grandma they have to stop being mean to her." I chuckle at her own version of events.
-AVA-
"You scared me half to death you idiot." I gently swat Jack across his plaster-cast arm, sighing in relief after the Doctors had given him the all clear. "You're not allowed to drive ever again."
"You can't stop me from driving." He gives a hearty chuckle. "I have to pick up my girlfriends somehow."
"Girlfriends? Plural?" I raise an eyebrow. "I don't even think it's supposed to be singular."
"So mean." I laugh at his positivity, given his situation right now. Lucy had already exited the room once more; phone in hand, because supposedly a call from her boyfriend was much more important than staying with her sick child. My own Mother had taken Logan to go and get coffees for everyone, leaving Jack and I alone. "Hey, Logan was telling me something earlier. What's this about you dating some famous dude?"
"Nothing." I abruptly answer. "I've finished it before it began."
"Who was it?"
"You're ill right now, lying in a hospital bed." I begin to rant. "Why are you asking me questions about who I dated?"
"Because he's famous, duh." He rolls his eyes. "Alex Darkbloom, was it?"
"Yeah." I mutter back, folding my arms.
"He also told me he messed you about recently."
"Can we not talk about this, please?" I beg. "Everyone has brought it up, and I just want to forget about it."
"Is he still over in Berlin then?"
"No..." He raises an eyebrow, wondering where I had gotten such information from. I sigh, letting my arms fall down to my lap. "He's in my house right now."
"He's what?" Jack scoffs. "So you're not dating him then?" He sarcastically asks.
"He flew over from Berlin before he was supposed to, to explain what happened between him and Luisa," I ignor his confused expression since he didn't know the full story. "And then Mum called me about you, and I didn't have a sitter so Alex said he'd look after Emma."
