By 8, Emma is dressed and ready to head off to nursery.
I help Ava strap her into her car seat in her car, agreeing to look after the house as she quickly went and dropped her off.
"I'll see you in a bit," She holds my face to hers with my hand under my chin, giving a quick peck on my lips. "Have fun you two!"
"Be careful on the roads, yeah?" She smiles at my silly worrisome nature.
"I will." She tells me before climbing into the driver's seat, closing the door shut after her. She pulls her seat belt across her, and brings the car to lift with a twist of the key in the ignition.
Both Grayson and I wave as Ava reverses out of the driveway, and goes on her way towards the nursery.
"Sooo..." Grayson drags out, his arms crossed as he stands beside me. "It's silly how cute that girl is."
"I know, right?"
"And Emma's pretty cute too."
"You're looking for a smack, mate," I threaten, causing him to burst out laughing.
"I'll like to see you try, big guy," He mocks before walking back into the house.
"Hey, you may have muscles, but shall I remind you who ran like the wind and cried like a child when a tarantula was brought near him?" I remind him of his 19th birthday party where I pranked him with a nature expert who supplied the tarantula for us. The guy literally just held the tarantula in his hand, and Grayson was on the other end of the room, scratching at the closed door and screaming to be let out. It was hysterical.
"You know how I feel about spiders, dude," He whines his defense after we walk into the house, and I closed the door shut behind us.

I wave to Emma before she takes hold of her teacher's hand and makes her way into the nursery building.
"She's so cute," A voice speaks beside me, causing me to jump before noticing it is Jules, and that she is waving to Emma also. "Like super-duper cute."
"Why thank you," I smile. "Why are you here?"
"I needed to talk to ya, plus I knew you'd be here and I couldn't be arsed to go to the house and wait."
"What do you need to tell me with such urgency?" I tease.
"Hey, enough of that!" She points a finger at me with a degree of kookiness. "It's annoying that you're the one with the boyfriend now, and here I am, all single, depressed and lonely."
"You're not depressed, Jules," I shake my head disapprovingly, even with a small smile on my lips. "And you'll find someone soon... Maybe he's closer than you think."
"Yeah, I really can't see Harry Styles anywhere," I sigh out loud in disbelief, closing my eyes and leaning my head back. "What?! You know it's going to happen."
"Let it go, Jules!" I exclaim. "It's not going to happen."
"Then who do you think I'm going to end up with?" She folds her arms. "Because the only logical suggestion is Harry, since Benedict Cumberbatch got married." She pulls a frown. "I still haven't gotten over that yet, it should have been me!"
"You'll find out soon," I keep coy with a small smile, deciding not to mention my step brother's name in order to not make her cause a scene in front of the nursery and possibly get arrested.
