-ALEX-
I hated that night. It was just spent mainly trying to get Ava to talk to me, and planning my exit back to London again.
At least one of those things was going my way, as I am currently dragging my suitcase through the lobby, waiting for the car to take Grayson, Holly and I to the airport.
"I'll call every day," I promise my younger sister, sticking out my little pinkie finger in order for her to hook hers around it, forming our usual pinky promises. "And I'll be waiting for you to come back on Thursday."
"Are you sure?" Poppy asks, red eyed and puffy nosed. I always hate leaving her alone.
"Have I ever broken a promise to you?" She shakes her head almost immediately, wiping her tears away with the back of her hand. "Well there you go."
"Okay." She finally agrees to me leaving the trip early. "Tell Emma I say hi."
"That, I will definitely do." I try my best to give her a convincing smile, but in all honesty the way it was going with Ava now, I have no idea I could achieve that.
But when I stand up from my crouching position and was faced with the catastrophe known as my ex-girlfriend Katherine; I knew I had to work hard to get Ava back in my good books again.
"I hear you're leaving?" She asks me, arms folded, bitch pose in full effect. Typical Katherine.
"Yes." I reply as politely as I could. "London premiere, need to support family."
"Congratulations by the way," I can sense the slyness in her tone. "I'm sure you and Luisa will be extremely happy with one another, but I do sure hope she knows what's she's getting herself into."
"We're not dating." I need to make sure everyone knew that fact. EVERYONE. "But thanks anyway."
"Surprising," She said. "I mean, you do tend to go after anything with a pulse."
"Just back off Katherine," All my politeness had suddenly gone out of the window as my patience wore very thin. "Whatever happened with us happened, I should be the one that's angry, but I'm not. So let bygones be bygones."
"You're the one that should be angry?" I roll my eyes at her sudden angered state, and turn around as I pick up my carry-on bag and fling it over my shoulder. "You know what Alex? You're never going to find a girl that will be perfect for you, not if you keep on acting like this."
"Dude!" Grayson's voice interrupts from the hotel entrance. "Car's here!"
"That's the thing," I look back over my shoulder at her one last time before I made my way over to Grayson. "I already found her."
"What?!" She yells after me as I smugly walk out of the hotel and to the car which was waiting for us.
"Feel better?" Grayson also smirks as I sat myself down next to him in the car, Aunt Holly to his other side.
"Much." I can't lie now, can I?

By 2pm in the afternoon, Jules clearly had had enough of me.
"Look how much you're moping around!" She exclaims, pulling one of my headphones out of my ears as I sat slumped at my kitchen table.
"Hey!" I try snatching it back off of it, but she is too quick. "Can you leave me to wallow in my own self-pity in peace, please?"
"You're literally listening to the saddest songs on Earth," She turns the music off of my phone, placing it down onto the table again. "Have you answered Alex back?"
"Of course not." I am surprised she has the guts to bring it up again after I pretty much threatened to dump all of her One Direction merchandise if she did. When most 22 year olds were saving up for their first car or a house, there was Jules, buying One Direction merchandise with all of her money.
"Has he called again?"
"Only a few more times." Again, I lie. The boy is persistent; I have to give it to him.
"Taking it a bit too far, aren't you?" She asks, causing me to gasp with offense. "I mean... You look really bloody jealous right now."
"I'm not jealous!" I yell, more offended now. Sure, I may have mentioned to Logan earlier than I may have been a tad jealous over the whole Lalex situation, but by this point in time I had come to the realisation that I shouldn't be jealous, and if anyone asked me if I was, I would deny it outright. "I don't care if Alex is now with this Luisa person, I don't care."
"Sure," She scoffs. "Not like you almost tried glaring me to death yesterday or anything over the entire situation."
"What the hell does 'glaring to death' mean?" I pull a face of frustration. "And yesterday was just shock, I'm sorry if I seemed a little off." I sigh deeply.
"A little off?" Jules nearly fell over with laughter. "You looked like you wanted to punch someone... Probably Alex if I were to guess."
"Can we all just forget about Alex and go back to our normal lives?" I try my best to end the conversation. "The last week of our lives was fun, but now we have to go back to reality."
"He was literally the closest I was going to get to Harry," I look back up to Jules again, who just stood there with a slow shake to her head, staring off into space. "The actual closest I got to Harry Styles, and he had to ruin it for some 6 foot tall red head."
"I said stop talking about it."
"I thought you weren't jealous."
"I'm not!"
"So why do you look so furious every time I mention it?"
"All right!" I put my face in my hands. "All right, okay? I'm bloody jealous! Are you happy now?"
"I don't blame you," She shrugs her shoulders. "He was the closest YOU were going to get to Harry as well."
"You really know how to make situations a lot more worse than they already are, don't you?" I stand up from my seat, running my hands down my denim covered thighs. "And please, get over Harry Styles already. God knows what you'll do when he actually settles down with someone other than you."
"He will NEVER!" Is all I heard as I exit my kitchen to go up the stairs towards my bedroom. "What are you doing now?" She asks, following me like a lost puppy.
"I'm going online," I sat myself down onto my bed, leaning against the headboard as I opened up my laptop. "And watching Netflix to ignore the world until I have to leave in an hour and get Emma from her ballet class."
"You sure you're going to be all right whilst I'm at my Mum's?" She asks.
"Can everyone stop thinking I'm the most sensitive person ever?" I was getting more and more frustrated as the seconds went by. "Alex was nothing! I'm a 22 year old Mother, I can handle a bit of jealousy. I've had to deal with a lot worse in the past."
"Well at least you have some claim to fame," I look at her with huge amounts of confusion. "You snogged Alex Darkbloom. Not many people can say that..." She stops herself, re-evaluating her words. "Actually... A lot of people can say it since he's such a who-."
"Get out and go to Aunt Carol's before I do something I'll regret." I said whilst throwing a cushion in her general direction, causing her to burst out into laughter as she waves, exiting my room and skipping down the stairs. "Jeez, yesterday she wanted to hide everything from me and here she is making jokes only a day later."
Madness. That's what this family was.
