Percy's POV
Annabeth was waiting for me as soon as I walked out of my room in the Big House. She was siting on the floor, her legs folded underneath her.
"You Seaweed Brain." She snapped as soon as she saw me. "How could you think that I would cheat on you!" Her eyes were angry and I could see tears pooling up in them. "How could you think that, after all we've been through."
"What was I supposed to think?" I replied. "You were kissing him."
"I don't know." Annabeth wailed. "Percy, I love you and it hurts because I know you don't love me back and you haven't for a while. I know it's not your fault, I know that, and I know Piper is amazing and how could you not have fallen for her. Percy, I wanted to marry you. And because of the Chicken Lord, that will never ever be."
"I wanted to marry you too Annabeth. But-"
"I know." Annabeth said. "But know Piper is in the picture and I'm not. It's okay Percy. I understand. I have Jason know, and who knows, maybe he was meant to be my true love all along."
