LA'KIESHA P.O.V.)
"The food is ready!" I yelled.
Everyone rushed into the dining room. I had the plates and food all sat out on the table.
ANDRE P.O.V.)
"I think I definitely found me a girl that can cook", I said. All the food was smelling so good. It all looked so delicious. I was ready to throw down. I grabbed a plate and start throwing food on it. I had a little bit of everything. I had some cornbread, yams, chicken, and greens. I'm talking about soul food. I already know I'm need a good nap after this meal.
"Lets pray", I heard La'kiesha's mom say. Everyone bowed there head and closed their eyes. Candace began to pray. Its been a long time since I heard somebody pray or prayed myself. The last time I prayed was when my grandfather was dying in the hospital. After he died, I just lost it. I just stop praying and going to church. I just felt so lost without my grandfather by my side. He was my role model. My dad couldn't even compare to my grandpa.
I suddenly snapped out of my thought when I heard everyone say amen. I said amen a couple second laters. I began to dig into the food on my plate. After everybody was done eating, we sat around and talked for about two hours.
"I think its about time for me to go", I declared as I looked down at my phone. "Bye", everyone said as I walked out of the door. "Bye", I said back. I got in my vehicle and drove home.
