There isn't much to do
besides sit around
and watch TV,
so I grab my bike
from the garage
and head off
down the street.
I don't know this town
at all
since we've only lived here
for about a month,
so I really hope
I don't get lost.
It's likely I'll get lost,
though,
regardless of my
opinion on the matter;
I am worse with directions
than I am with history. And, you know,
I am terrible at history. It's a bit chilly today,
and no one else
seems to be out
as a result.
A few cars pass by
on my right
as I head off to
nowhere in particular,
and I try not to look
at whoever is inside,
because making eye contact
always leaves me
feeling worse
rather than better.
I come across
this little park
after riding for a bit.
It looks nice
and quiet
and secluded enough
that I shouldn't see
anyone else
during my time
within it.I'm not antisocial
by any stretch,
but sometimes
people are too tiring
to be around
when they all
invariably
have an opinion of you
that isn't too kind.
Quite frankly,
I'm tired of being
looked at
like I'm some kind of
alien.The lone bench I find
some ways in
is covered in
crumbs
and food wrappers
and what I suspect is
bird poop -
but I sit anyway,
after brushing away
as much as I can,
and try to ignore
the rest.
It's much better than
being around people
any day,
in my opinion.It's lonely,
but I'm okay.
I'm sort of
used to it
by now.Sort of.

Sad, lonely Cam. Poor child. I just wanna hug them, ngl.
If you guys enjoyed this chapter, please feel free to vote and leave me some feedback below! It would be much appreciated!
And I just wanna say that if any of you guys are struggling with stuff and need someone to talk to, you can PM me or whatever and I'll do my best to help. I've actually had a lot of people messaging me that say they go through similar things that Cam does in this story, and that really irritates me because no one should have to go through stuff like this. I never really considered how much this goes on in the real world when I first started writing this, and it's just sad that it does happen.
So anyway, yeah, I'll always do my best to help any of you guys if you need it! Just hit me up whenever c:
