It's pretty late for an author's note, I guess (I'm writing this a few months after I've already started this story), but hey, welcome to this story/series. My goal with Misalignment is to promote non-binary characters (agender characters in particular), since you never really see them in literature. That really sucks, in my opinion. We need more of them, because they aren't invisible, and they do exist, despite what some may think.
Why am I so interested in this issue? Personally, I identify as demigirl (and I'm asexual, besides), and I've seen firsthand how unaccepting modern society can be of anyone who is different and doesn't conform to social and gender 'norms.' I honestly hate that, so here we are. We are all people, regardless of our gender or sexuality, so let's not be jerks about it, alright?
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it!
