After the concert, we all gathered into the cafeteria to grab our stuff and leave. Now, this cafeteria led directly into a hallway. So, while most of the people were taking selfies with the conductor,
I saw HER.
In the hallway.
So I went up to her. This is how it went down.
Me: Hey, we sat really close together at dinner Friday night and I slipped you a note next to your food... did you read it?
Her: No, I didn't get it. What did it say?
Me: Oh, well I, uh... God, this is so weird. I just kinda wrote that I think you're really pretty amd stuff.
Her: Oh, well thanks...
Me: Well, uh, bye [walks back into cafeteria]
About sixty seconds later, after all the people were done taking pictures and collecting belongings, we all walked back out into the hall to meet with our families and go home. I saw her in the hall again.
Me: I'm Catie, by the way.
Her: [unintelligible since we were in a noisy hallway, but she definitely repeated my name once or twice]
At the front of the school where all the parents were, there were also pictures for sale. Yesterday (3/19/16) a photographer came in and took candid photos of all us singing. I found a good picture with her in it, and I sneakily captured a picture of it with my phone. Stalkery, I know. But I wanted to remember her face.
Yes, I was in a sea of people when I took that picture, but none of them were paying attention to me at all. My parents were behind me, so I turned around to go meet with them, and I bumped into someone. "Sorry," I said reflexively as I turned to look at the person who I had bumped into.
I bet you can't guess who it was.
It wAs HeR
At least I know I won't forget her.
