The vampire clan is a group of vampires led by Lord Castor Cole introduced in the Mystic Falls area. They are renowned as the most powerful court of vampires in Mystic Falls. Residing in Calchester Keep, an ancient castle situated on a remote island off the coast of The Arctic Cove, the court is among the most ancient and pure-blooded of vampires in Evernore. In the castle grounds, you can choose to join the clan to fight against the tyranny of the sun, or choose to join the in an effort to destroy them.

Joining

Joining the vampires requires you to first complete the quest of applying for membership. After completing the quest, ranks will begin. After escorting members to Keep, they will offer you membership within the clan and the ability to become a member. This is your only opportunity to join the ranks of the clan itself. Upon accepting gift, the quest will begin.

Castor Cole's life started out as a Dhampir in the early 1800's of British History. His father, Alexander Cole, VI, was a wealthy socialite vampire, who sought out the fun and challenges of life. He was a horrid man a bully, someone who had truly embraced the life of being a vampire; taking lives just because he could. Castor's mother, Charlotte Bishop, was the daughter of a wealthy family. She was a soft kind soul who just wanted to be noticed, it was how his parents lives crossed. There was no love at first sight for them, Alexander saw something he could take and he took his Charlotte. She was taken in the night with nothing left in her wake, Charlotte Bishop was never found. However Charlotte Cole was created that night.

His parents relationship wasn't what you would call normal. As the the years progressed Charlotte became subdued to the Alexander and eventually just followed and hung of his every word. Eventually Castor was born, half human, half vampire. Alexander was rarely around he just wanted a child which he could eventually use to carry on his 'family' line. Castor was raised by his mother, she was his teacher and parent. She provided two more children for Alexander over the years. Jonathan and Emmett, Castor was in his late teens when Jonathan was born - His younger was a troublemaker and as they got older he bonded closer to their father than Castor ever did.

Castor wasn't exactly jealous of it, he had his own life to lead even if it was under the thumb of his father; however he wasn't comfortable with how much control their father had Jonathan. He tried doing something about it, trying to make Jonathan see the true side of Alexander, but nothing work and if anything it only made his brother side with their more. Castor was furious when he found out his mother was pregnant again, it was another child for their father to manipulate and control.

Castor was 29 when Emmett was born. A little girl that Castor fell in love with at first sight. He couldn't let their father corrupt the innocence that she was. Before he had found out about Emmett, Castor had been planning to leave start a life from himself and get as far as possible away from his father and brother as he could. He would have taken his mother as well if it had been possible, but she wanted him to leave and get away. After Emmett his plans changed, he stuck around and waited a few years.

Then their lives got shook up. Castor's mother died, she contracted the flu and couldn't survive it. Jonathan had wanted Alexander to change her, and he would have it wasn't for Castor, so she died. After that Alexander turned Michael and as payback for their mother's death Jonathan turned Castor; Castor had never wanted to be a vampire. Castor's world was turned upside down he had managed to spend the first 35 years of his life as partially human, being a able to live a relatively normal life. Now that had come to a halt and it was brothers fault; he'd never forgive him. Once he had been turned he left with Emmett taking her far, far, far away from his brother and father. He didn't want her tainted by them, he may have been a vampire; but he wasn't going to be cruel and murder for the sake of it.

When Castor left with Emmett she was no more than a toddler, so Castor had to settle down, so she could be given the best possible chances in life. He did it London and that's where he spent the next 100+ years for her. She grew in a beautiful young woman and Castor was proud to say he had helped her do that. Castor knew that he had to keep out the the light, he was never going to age and people would notice that sooner or later. So for a long time he survived on the money he had built up and then taken from his father when he left. Castor was smart and invested it frequently, he was intelligent and liked working with money and the politics of it.

Time passed for Castor quickly, he and Emmett travelled regularly. Doing things they enjoy, Emmett was highly adventurous and frequently got herself into precarious situations that only Cas vampire ability could get her out of. Not that he minded, he'd always be there. Soon enough she was asking him to turn her, make her into a vampire so she could continue to live with him and live her life. He was unsure to begin with, he hadn't even wanted this life, let alone even considering to turn someone and put that life on them. However if he didn't it would mean a life without Emmett, so he did it, he turned her and froze her life in time.

After that they travelled together until they ended up in Evernore a city which was full of the supernatural, including Vampire and Dhampirs. Castor was wary of the community, and they didn't integrate with the them to begin with they had never come across anything like it in their time, it had always just been them. Castor didn't even know what had come of his Father and Brother. So this was a whole new experience. Soon enough they came into community, they had a home and Castor's life finally started to look up for once.
