Aaliyah's confidence in them being able to wing it made him chuckle, but they were Diviners after all. They had a knack for being at the right place at the right time and when the two of them were concerned it was impossible to not imagine them having a good time. "I like the sound of that, no plan is the plan." Clint grinned over to the blonde in his passenger seat. Entering the coffee shop with Li on his arm he certainly felt like some kind of big city couple rolling through the small town. Everything seemed to move so much slower here and the relaxed atmosphere seemed so tempting compared to the hectic reality of the daily life in the city.

Clint had a good laugh at her teasing and it was certainly true that he was completely addicted to caffeine. Even though he often seemed like the Energizer Bunny just going and going and going he still needed help from time to time. Many a late night at the hospital had been supplemented by the gift from above that was coffee. "You did say that it was to perk us up, didn't you?" He grinned between the girl behind the counter and his companion while she finished up the order, getting a bagel as well as a the drink which hadn't even crossed his mind and got 'dragged' away to the other side of the counter while waiting for their order. Looking around the room he could see so many eyes on Aaliyah feeling strangely on edge afterward until they called there names. Turning to grab his drink and taking a first sip from the hot liquid, their gazes seemed to return to the surroundings as he turned back around. Shaking his head at his own paranoia he followed her back out into the cold and back into his vehicle and started up the engine.

There was a light snort that escaped him as he heard Aaliyah sigh contently in the passenger seat, noticing the seat warmer on full blast on her side of the vehicle. "Enjoying all the bells and whistles I got in this thing?" Clint asked with a smile, honestly happy to have someone appreciating his choice in vehicle. It wasn't a super flashy car by any means but it was extremely safe, reliable, and did have a number of luxury features. Back on the highway everything seemed to move much faster now that they had received their caffeine. At the offer of the bagel his stomach grumbled a bit, realizing that he really should have gotten some food yet."Yeah, I'd try some..." He looks over just in time to see the crumbs falling to the seat and her outfit, laughing lightheartedly. "... just try to get most of it in my mouth actually." He followed up with a grin making sure to bring his eyes back to the road.

With the skyline of Denver coming into view he marveled a bit at the huge buildings coming into view, certainly bigger than Evermore though nothing like New York where he had lived for several years while going to medical school. Even so it was a sight to behold and almost made him homesick for the massive city that had been his home for 8 years of his life. Had he learned about his heritage there however, who knows what kind of a mess he would be in now. Clint passed the first few exits for Denver and simply listened to his gut as the traffic got heavier and heavier as they headed further downtown. "That's the one..." The Diviner said mostly to himself as he spotted an upcoming exit and made his way across the lanes and off of the busy highway, onto the city streets of Denver itself. For now he was exploring and taking in the sites. After the bagel food had certainly been on his mind, but this day was theirs. "If you see anywhere you want to go, just let me know." The excitement was building in his voice as he drove at a leisurely pace.
