A Sisterly Visit

Visiting the Garden

Nyx was worried, she had noticed that for the last several years her sister Gaea no longer came to earth. It concerned her when Mother Earth no longer came down to her domain. It was truthfully a concern for them all, as Gaea was the one to ultimately control the fate of the planet they lived on. Truthfully Nyx blamed humanity for this; when the gods stopped having an interest in their lives and removed themselves from humanity's daily lives they had gone down hill and fast. They no longer cared for nature as they should and were using up the natural resources that the land could give them faster than it could be replenished. She hoped this had noting to do with what was wrong with her sister. If she were honest with herself, which she was, if it were any of the other gods she probably wouldn't care as much. Nyx had a deep dislike for the Olympians after they imprisoned her in Tartarus for centuries and keeping her from her children. It took her some time and planning but eventually she was able to take time and travel to Gaea's domain when she is away from earth.

It had taken her some planning but eventually she had talked her husband into working the club for the night so she could go and visit with their sister. He was worried about her as well, but understood that at least one of them needed to stay and watch over the employees. He would go and visit with their sister later at some other point. It had been subtle but over the course of the years Nyx had noted a drop in her powers, she was no longer as powerful as she had been when the gods had ruled Greece. As the night she tried to figure out what was going on by herself but something told her to check with her sister as it might be tied to her.

Walking into Gaea's garden she could tell that she had been right. Immediately she knew that something was wrong. The garden, usually so full of life, was slowly being destroyed by pestilence.'What is going on here?' This is not like Gaea at all. Her fears, though small, for her sister's health and well being grew larger and she wished that Erebus had come with her after all. As she continued walking through the garden she realized further that she really needed to talk to her sister; but where was she? Normally Gaea can be found in the middle of her garden, which is where Nyx was standing glancing around, frowning. None of this was right. Walking along slowly in a random direction she kept catching glimpses of death and destruction in the garden. Nyx could remember when this was full of nothing but life. Flora and Fauna as far as the eye could see. Now there were very few animal noises to accompany her as she walked along the paths in search of its mistress.

"Hello! Gaea, are you here?" She called out before speaking to herself "Strange, she's usually here. I hope she's not that bad that she can no longer move around her beloved garden." Frowning she found the entrance to another pathway and headed along it's route in search of her sister.
