The sun was burning through the fog covered clouds that afternoon; Chance had been seated about the house lounging with his best friend by his side, which was his male pit-bull Remington. A grin covered his features as he slapped his hands against his thighs as he lifted himself from the couch; Remington quickly following behind Chance.
"Come on buddy let's go to the park." He said as he slipped his shoes onto his feet, reaching for the leash that connected to Remington's collar.
Remington was soon digging into the basket of toys where he grasped a bright colored Frisbee into his teeth and wandered over towards Chance. "Alright buddy we can play Frisbee" Chance said raking a hand through his thick brown locks.
Clicking the leash onto the link of Remington's collar they both were out the door and on their way to the park. Chance chuckled to himself as he sang aloud one of the many songs he'd wrote. Remington howling along with Chance's gorgeous voice as they entered the park. Everyone stared because they'd been quite the pair of duet singers.
Allowing the leash to slip through his fingers watching as the leash fell onto the ground. His hand reared back as he go ready to toss the Frisbee. "You ready boy?" He asked in a taunting tone as Remington barked to reply. Releasing the Frisbee out of his hand he chuckled watching as Remington bolted after the item.
"You got it boy!" He yelled with his hands cupped around his mouth.

In her long life as a Phoenix, Laura could not remember the last time she had been so dirty but at the same time so happy. The fight was relentlessness as they both began to throw each other more mud. Laura laughed when Remington tackled Chance and the both fell into the mud pit. Then the sprinklers came on resulting in fresh mud. Yay for me, Laura thought as she grabbed and armful of the freshly made mud and dumped it on both Chance and Remington.
The lights began to dim as the day came to an end, but play time was not over. When Laura knelled to grab more mud Remington bumped Laura on her rump and she face planted on the muddy pit. When she came up her face was a mask of muddy gooey stuff. She burst out laughing as a sprinkler popped out in between her legs and made her jump and squeal in surprise. This was turning out to be a very pleasant day after all.
Today was nothing new for Chance and Remington other than the fact that Chance would have normally been working today, but he knew he needed to take a break otherwise he'd run himself low. He gasped as he felt the mud falling over him and Remington. He chuckled lowly as he began throwing mud back. He glanced towards the sky as the rain began pouring down on all three of them. Nothing stopped them from having fun though.
Watching Remington bumping into Laura, he was about to speak when she soon had fallen into the mud puddle. "Oh s***!" He said as the sprinklers began spraying them. Chance chuckled laying down in the puddle and making a "Mud Angel." Or as he called it.
A mud angel? What a clever idea. Loosing all her shiness Laura layd in the mud and made her first mud angel in her life. who said you couldnt learn new things? Laughing as she made her mud angel water got inside her mouth and made her laugh even lauder. If anyone were to see them they would have not recognized them at all. Every inch of them was now covered in mud as water fell from the sky and the sprinklers attempted to washh off the mud they simply just got more muddier. Laura couldnt remember the last time she had had so much fun.
the water prevented the mud angel from staging put, so Laura gave up. Stting up she saw how Remington played with the rain. That was a mad water dog right thre if she had ever seen one. The pup had a good disposition and was having a blast just like both of them were. Looking at Chance Laura smiled at him. She could only imagined what her face looked like all covered in mud, but hey, his was too.
Chance lay still in the mud as Remington had tackled on top of him. He chuckled patting the muddy canine's head. "We are going to need to take a shower bud." He said as Remington lapped his tongue across his muddy face. Chance wrapped his arms around Remington as he laid down onto his chest. He sighed happily as he glanced towards the darken skies. The mud was cold below him, but he enjoyed the feeling.
Chace then glanced towards Laura who had been staring back towards him. He chuckled lowly for a moment as he felt Remington licking his muddy cheek. "Stop you are gonna get sick you big idiot." He said.
Laura smiled at Chance and realised their time together had come to an end. The day had slipped them by. With the sun setting it was time to go their separate ways. Standing up she went to Chase kneeling to scratch Remington behind the ear. "I had a lovely time. You have a wonderful relationship with Remington. It was so good to meet you Chance. I best be going and clean up. I feel like a clay sculpture right now." Laura said with a warm smile to Chance.
