Rolling her eyes at Clint she smiles at his words. "Yeaa I don't think that's how the seating works in these places. I think fans are scattered all over the place so I should be safe. Who knows, maybe I'll go with Avalanche colors," she says shrugging. Checking Sam's dish and giving her loyal beast a few pets and a kiss, she quickly headed out the door and climbed into her friend's car and immediately turns her seat warmer on full blast and wiggles deeper into her seat. Sapphire hues close and she leans her head back against the headrest and looks over towards the drivers side as Clint finally throws his bag in the back. "I have yet to see perfection from your end of things," she teases before turning her gaze back out the window.

With all the snow that fell over the holidays and the recent cold snap the city was having there was a lot of snow everywhere. As they drove, Al silently gazed out the window watching the beautiful winter wonderlands that flew by. Other than the ugly brown slush on the roads the snow was still beautiful and white, the surface sparkling as if covered by diamonds. The sound of Clints voice brought her out of her reverie and she looked over at him. "Hmm? Oh. I don't know. Lets do whatever! Dinner before the game maybe? I don't know. What is there to do in Denver?" she asked, her foot absently tapping along with the music as it played quietly in the background.

She looked over, watching Clint as he drove. He had so much on his mind, as much as her if not more and yet he was always so bubbly and happily. He had been such a light in her life since she had met him and she was so grateful to have him. She knew wasn't being as excited or as energetic as him about the trip, especially since they had gotten into the car. She needed to push everything on her mind out of her head and focus on relaxing and enjoying this little trip.

They had been driving for almost an hour already and up ahead Al could see the beginnings of a small town. As they entered she looked at the small local 'ma and pa shops' and smiled. Little towns like this were cute and quaint but also a little creepy to her. As they slowly passed through the town she spied a store she new. "Clint! Starbucks! Coffees on me!" she said, looking over at him and giving him puppy eyes and pouting a little. "I need more coffee to really be able to function," she said, leaning back into her seat again and revelling in the heat provided from her butt warmer...
Even if he was just giving her a hard time about the seating he didn't seem to let on, just laughing along as she explains the seating to him and the still up in the air matter of if she'd be sporting home team gear or not. With the last check of the house he was outside and getting into his vehicle, once again finding himself chuckling at her teasing. "You only ever see me at home. The perfection has always already happened." The clumsy and often tired man that she often saw at home would barely be recognized as the man diligently moving through the hospital halls and caring for anyone that he possibly could. The scenery was one of a true winter wonderland in the occasional moments that he allowed his eyes to trail away from the road in front of him. While some saw only the death that the winter brought it was so much more, a necessity for the healing rains and blossoms of Spring to come. That time of life was something the Diviner looked forward to dearly, but he had also come to love this chilly season and all the fun it could bring if you allowed it. Having broken the silence he made quite the approving noise at the suggestion of dinner, never seeming to remain still in his seat as his body moved along with the music. "Dinner without a doubt! As for what there is to do, I can't say I've actually ever been to Denver. I was searching around last night though and there seemed like a handful of museums, a botany garden, and a good deal of brewery and distillery tours." Clint responded with a wide grin, not sure what would strike there fancy, but he was sure they'd figure something out.

From a young age Clint had needed to be the light in his own life, by necessity. It had carried through the years to a point that it was a big part of him, keeping a positive air around him even in serious or dangerous situations and tucking away any negativity beneath the surface. It seemed more often these days that he could let some of that slide away in times of need, but only with those he was really close to like his friend Li. Today all of that positive energy was 100% genuine, a Light energy almost buzzing around the man. Even if his companion seemed to be a bit lower energy it didn't bug him, particularly because he was often on the more energetic side. This was an adventure after all, and one that didn't have a high chance of him being shot at to boot.

Off of the open highway his speed lowered as they started to pass through a small town he couldn't help but think of the small town that he was from, the layout vague familiar as many of them seemed to be. When he suddenly heard his name exclaimed he thought something might be in the road, getting a bit of a start and racing heart before he realized she was talking about the coffee shop. With a laugh at his start he looks over to hear, not needing the puppy dog eyes to convince him to stop. "I feel you there! Stop one!" Clint pulled into the parking lot and found a parking spot instead of looking for a drive-thru at the small town Starbucks."Need to stretch my legs out anyway." He said with a smile before turning off the vehicle and stepping out, normal used to moving around much more. Holding the door open for Li he followed inside and looked up at the menu as though he had never been there as he always did, letting her start the order and chiming up to order his "Peppermint Mocha with a double shot." Clint was used to both running through those halls and drinking plenty of coffee for those late night shifts.

Aaliyah listened as Clint described a few other options for their day in Denver. It was a large city, certainly bigger than Evermore by far so she was sure they would find plenty to do. She was actually quite excited despite her reserved silence. Maybe it was nervousness at leaving her faction alone for the day and probably night or maybe it was nervousness at leaving the city that had been her home for several decades now. She hadn't left Evermore since the d'Fierros had dragged her and her brother at some point during their imprisonment. They had lived all over the place before that; mostly in Europe but Al also remembered a short period where there was lots of warm weather. She assumed Australia or something like it but couldn't be sure since her and Caiden were never told were they were getting dragged to.

"We will figure something out. We are always best when we wing it so lets not plan anything other than dinner," she said smiling across at her friend. She grinned as he agreed to stopping for food at the coffee powerhouse. Finally finding a little bit of energy she hopped out of the car as he parked, grabbing her wallet and closing her door behind her. Slipping through the door as Clint held it open, she linked her arm through his and they entered the store, the smell of sharp, freshly ground beans immediately assaulting her senses. Sapphire hues glanced around the shop, taking in the people enjoying their drinks and sitting around the tables or in the comfy chairs. A few had out their laptops, or were on their phones, and a few sat there reading books, newspapers, and magazines. It was such a relaxed environment.

Approaching the counter, Al's brows raised slightly as Clint ordered his drink and she chuckled. "Jeez, sugar and caffeine addiction much?" she teased. Smiling at the young teen behind the counter she looked over the options for only a moment before ordering. "Can I get a grande americano with 2 pumps of white mocha please? And a cheese bagel with plain cream cheese?" Getting the total, Al hands the cashier her debit card and quickly pays, dragging Clint over to the counter where their drinks and food would arrive, she leaned back against the counter, swaying to the music that played in the background. After a few short minutes their drinks arrived, Al's bagel following a moment later. Grabbing her americano and the bagel she headed back out to the car, climbing into her seat and waiting for Clint.

Once he was seated and the car started again, Aaliyah immediately turned on her seat warmer again, sighing as heat covered her bum. As they continued the drive, finally getting out of town and back on to the highway, Al sipped her drink then placed it in a cup holder and unwrapped her bagel. "Want some?" she offered Clint, looking over at him as she shoved a piece of the bagel in her mouth. "It's really good!" she mumbles, mouth full and bread flying. "Sorry," she says, brushing crumbs off herself and the seat and on to the floor. After the stop at Starbucks the drive seemed to fly by. The scenery was beautiful and wintery and despite the cold and the snow, the roads were excellent and they made great time. Finally the signs showed Denver only 5km away and in the distance Al could see the skyscrapers taking form.....
