Aaliyah had been awake for quite some time already but remained curled up among the sheets. The sun was streaming through the sheer white curtains and the room steadily got warmer. The french doors that opened up to the small patio attached to her room were opened slightly allowing a gentle fall breeze to blow through, the white linens dancing in the wind. Samson snored at the foot of the large king-sized bed, his white coat blending in the white duvet. The rising and falling of his chest the only thing that indicated he was different from the blankets. The blonde curled her slender form around one of her pillows, her bright blue orbs staring out the window and at the scenery that was her backyard. The mountains could be seen, the tops already covered in an layer of snow. The pastures were a rich, lush green, the white paddock fences standing out starkly against the rich color.
Aaliyah sat up in bed, a delicate hand combing through her long blonde locks. Her phone buzzed on the beside dresser as her alarm went off and Sam's ears perked up at the sound. Reaching over, the diviner grabbed her phone and scrolled through her text messages, pausing over messages that were over a month old now. Alexander Warren, a name she hadn't heard or thought of in several weeks. She had met the ancient Nephilim by chance when they had literally ran right in to each other at the city park. It had been raining and the books Al had purchased had fallen in the mud. Alexander had insisted on offering her a tour and use of his personal library to replace the books that had gotten damaged. Books were a weakness of the diviners so her had taken the man up on his offer. There had been an immediate connection between the pair and they had gone on a wonderful date to the coast but she hadn't heard from the angel-spawn since.
Aaliyah rolled her eyes at the old messages and tossed her phone among the sheets. Climbing out of bed in nothing but a T-shirt and her underwear she walked over to the ensuite bathroom and climbed in to the shower. Emerging several minutes later she quickly got dressed, putting on a loose, off-the-shoulder sweater, and a pair of shorts. Her hair hung in loose waves down her back and she absently curled it around her finger as she wandered downstairs and started the coffee. After not hearing from him for several days after the so called date she had gotten over it, realized that there was nothing more to their relationship than being friends and had used her trip to Scotland with her best friend as some down time away from the city. It had worked and she hadn't heard from him since getting back just over a month ago which was fine with her...until now.
Sitting on the grand deck that overlooked the backyard she sat there drinking her coffee. Samson had gone out his doggy-door in the basement and was now chasing gophers in the horse pastures. Al smiled as she watched him but her mind wandered. She didn't easily open up or allow someone in but that was something she had done with the phoenix. Groaning, the dark diviner rose to her feet and went back up to her room. She needed to get out of the house and stop thinking about little things like this. It was over and done with and while there were parts of their friendship that the diviner missed, maybe it was all for the best.
Sliding on a pair of shoes, Aaliyah headed out the door. Samson greeted her as she opened one of the pasture gates and walked through the fields. Petting the young retriever, Aaliyah gave him the command to go back to the house and watched as he happily obeyed. The day was beautiful and sunny but the air had a bite to it. Summer was definitely almost over and fall had begun. The leaves on the trees had already started to change color and some had even already fallen to the ground The path through the forest was littered with leaves that crunched underfoot as Al walked. She made good time and was already near the base of the mountain within an hour or so. A massive oak tree sat in the middle of a clearing. Leaving the trail she walked through the grass and seated herself beneath the tree...
The ancient nephilim continued to stand before the dark diviner , holding her path away from this situation , seeing her eyes shift from one shade to the other as her anger grew more and more, showing her diviner heritage. His eyes shortly flew towards the fire lord standing behind her , leaning against a tree as she told him off , not bothering to even acknowledge him as she started circling the two , speaking of different things , as Hennyetta responded back as well. He seemed to ave became a mute witness to what was unfolding before him as the girls continued to taunt each other.Alexander then raised his hand to his head , rubbing at his temple , as Aaliyah threw the name of some guy in the mix , knowing by the look on her face as she said it that it meant something , something that would provoke Leona.
