An Hour Into the Party -
JAKE'S POV:
I walked around the kinda crowded house, trying to find Lexi. But she was no where in sight, I gave up and needed to go to the bathroom.
On my way, I never realized her bedroom was near the bathroom. I heard her laughing, I walked in and she was talking to another girl.
"Sorry to intrude." I state, looking at both Lexi and her friend.
"It's fine, Jake this is Sarah. Sarah this is Jake." I wave to the girl who sat next to Lexi, they went back to talking as I walked out and went to the bathroom.

I sat next to Lexi, while Sarah and her were still talking. Out of one question they were asking each other, one of them caught my attention.
"So are you two dating or something?" Sarah asked, gesturing to both myself and Lexi.
We look at each other and back at Sarah, "Psh. No. We just met today, literally. Today was my first day of a new school, and Jake here was a big help. So yeah. We are not dating." Lexi explains.
"So you're single?" Sarah said, leaning closer to me.
"Yeah, but not ready to mingle." I say leaning back away from her.
