Don't Leave Me!

"M-Mmmm!" Thick tears burn my cheeks as they fall from my covered eyes. An agonising pain throbs on my left thigh from a blade cutting through the skin. I so badly want to run away but ropes bind me to this chair I'm sitting on.

"Did that hurt? Oh I'm sorry; I should have done it deeper." I shake my head vigorously not wanting them to use a blade to slice my leg again. I'm in a lot of pain already as I feel the blade run down my arm. I warm liquid drips down the length of my arm and on my thigh too. Violet...the gentle lady I once knew is gone. It was all an act to lure me back to the very place my parents were murdered. I will never understand the full story but revenge on love is harsh. I've only ever heard about these stories of husbands or former lovers killing the one they love on the TV and always wondered what made them do this forbidden act. To actually come across one of those people frightens me the most. Where is this world going to...?

Just when I thought I can handle this pain the blade runs through the trenched gash on my leg again. The gag in my mouth restricts my voice and cry but having a blade or something else runs through the same gash hurt three times more. My body starts to tremble as I tense up trying to dismiss the pain. I want this to end. I don't want this agonising stinging sensation that makes you want to scream. I hang my head forward getting exhausted from everything. I'm sure I have bruising and a million cuts all over my exposed skin. End it...now.

"I knew something was familiar and off about you Hiroshi...Let him go..." That warming voice makes my head lift ever so slightly. My prayers were heard. I have no idea how but he came.

"Your mother got in the way...defending herself by attacking me with a kitchen knife. Rachael wasn't it?" Hiroshi's deep voice stands out the most.

"I'd never think I would meet her murderer as the innocent couple who played Shiro's adoptive parents. You even waited seven years just to finish him off. I want to know why." I feel the tautness in the air as I listen in. I feel so weak already but I can't let myself drift. Blood gathers at the back of my mouth, metallic and disgusting making me want to heave.

"Why? For someone as young as you, you seem composed and calm asking that kind of question when you haven't even got a weapon to defend yourself. Little boys should learn to mind their own business." Violet speaks with an assertive tone before adding a contemptuous laugh at the end.

"I don't need a weapon of my own as I am going to be walking out of this house with Shiro without trouble." I listen as footsteps close in nearby to me. I know it's Akatsuki. I can already feel his warmth already as he walks to my side. His large hand touches my shoulder lightly before untying the blindfold at the back making it fall to my lap. My eyes are still watery as I do not dare look up at Hiroshi and Violet. Akatsuki takes the gag out from my mouth and drops it on the ground. My lips sting at the sides from the gag being forced tightly around my head and in my mouth. My body trembles and the gash on my leg throbs so much that it's hardly bearable. Looking at it makes me feel sick and dizzy.

Akatsuki unties the ropes around my hands and legs before making me put my arm around his shoulder and he helps me up. I stand on one leg as I can't walk on my other one.

"Lean against me okay?" Akatsuki mumbles and kisses my head. Oh how I missed his tender kisses. Hiroshi and Violet stand there glaring at Akatsuki with a smirk as he leads me to the door. They are letting us leave? I close my eyes a little feeling so heavy and weak.

A hand suddenly grabs me and flings me backwards out of Akatsuki's grip and I am slammed up to a wall. My eyes widen as Violet holds a knife to my neck. Akatsuki doesn't even have time to react to this at all.

"Don't you dare!" Violet snaps "One more move and he is gone!" Akatsuki stands there with narrowed eyes staring back at violet and stays where he is. I close my eyes biting my lip as I am standing on my injured leg which is throbbing so much. Violet had grabbed the arm that had been cut too and she grips it tight. I so badly want to scream out but I feel so weak.

"Tell me why you waited seven years..." Akatsuki returns to his calm self. I don't even know if he is scared on the inside but being so calm like this seems to somewhat calm me a little. Akatsuki came out all the way just to come and rescue me. Tears run down my cheeks as words don't leave my mouth at all.

"To be honest we could have finished him off the day we adopted him bu-"

"But you saw Yuriko in him didn't you. A small boy at that time, innocent and accepted you as parents without question it reminded you of Yuriko so you took him in but as he grew older he looked more and more like Toshiaki...Toshiaki was your rival...your enemy because he got the girl you loved..." I manage to open my eyes and look at Akatsuki. He already knows? Just how do you know so much Akatsuki?

I glance at Hiroshi who seems to be irritated by what Akatsuki said. Violet presses the knife to my neck more making me yelp.

"Don't hurt him!"

"I find it rather cute you are so brave and optimistic but I never said I wouldn't hurt him didn't I. I only said if you move I kill him." She smirks and very slowly slides the sharp blade across the skin of my neck making a slight opening that makes a drop of blood run down my neck.

"Why will killing him satisfy you both? What's the point in killing him when he has done nothing...?"

"He knows too much now..."

"And so do you, Akatsuki." In the blink of an eye Akatsuki's eyes widen. Hiroshi had appeared behind Akatsuki without anyone really noticing. Akatsuki stumbles forward a little holding his hip before he takes his hand away for a moment. I stare at him with wide eyes as I see blood soaking into his shirt and some on his hands. He drops to his knees then face first to the ground. A knife is buried deep in his back as he lays there.

"Akatsuki!!"

I scream a blood curdling scream then a loud thud sound comes from the entrance of the room. Chunky armed men with guns come rushing into the room shouting for Hiroshi and Violet to put their hands up. Both their eyes widen and she drops me. I fall to the ground only staring at Akatsuki with wide eyes. Thick tears burn my cheeks as I crawl over to him. As much as my leg and arm are in pain my priority is seeing if Akatsuki is okay. I hear the clinking sound of hand cuffs locking wrists. I finally get to Akatsuki and touch him gently lifting him a little.

"Akatsuki!"

"Shiro..." He winces in a lot of pain. I stare at the dagger wondering if I should pull it out but remembering a lesson I learnt at school they said to kept the object in and apply pressure around it and leave it to the professionals. I place a hand on Akatsuki's cheek and look into his eyes.

"Akatsuki stay with me...stay with me please." The tears don't stop as I lean down and kiss his soft lips.

"I'll be okay, Shiro." He forces a smile trying to reassure me. His eyes are slowly closing as I tremble in fear he would die. He can't leave me. I can't lose him!

"Akatsuki! Akatsuki keep your eyes open." Five men hurry over to us with two stretchers. Three men gently take hold of Akatsuki and one carefully takes out the dagger before applying pressure bandages and manages to get him on his back putting him on one of the stretchers. Out of reaction I go to grab him back not wanting to leave his side but one of the men hold me back.

"Sir, calm down. Everything will be okay."

"Akatsuki!"
