Confusion

I sigh softly as I flip the test paper back to the front down on the table. I made sure my name is on it and put my hand up for the teacher to come and grab it. The maths test wasn’t so hard at least but I bet I get average marks for it.

I look out the window silently and take in the view before me. It’s only forth class with lunch next and two more classes. Glad I got one of my tests finished; now I can relax for the rest of the day.

Most of the students in my class have finished and are chatting quietly amongst each other in their little groups. I may have a better attitude since I’ve been with Akatsuki but I have no real desire to make any more friends. I recently have this one boy from another class who keeps trying to get me to join a club or something. I can’t even remember what it is for but it’s all the time. He comes up to me and asks if I want to join. It is starting to really annoying me.

The bell rings and everyone hurries out to go play. I am the last one out and I stand up grabbing my things before I start heading to the library. I notice a bunch of girls staring at me. I try and ignore it but then someone grabs my shoulder making me stop. I flinch before spinning on the spot and I look at who touched my shoulder. It is a girl in my grade but I don’t know her name.

“You’re Shiro right?” She tilts her head to the side a little. I nod and she continues talking. “You were at the firework last night weren’t you and you were with Mr Tanazuki?”

My heart skips a beat as I stare at her.

‘This is bad. She must have found out about Akatsuki and me! What should I do?!’

“Uhh y-yea I was with him…w-why do you ask?” I swallow hard trying to stay and look calm. My heart is beating so fast it’s about to burst from my chest. I can’t believe this is happening. Why now.

“What is your relationship with him?” she persists on. I bit my lip when someone else touched my shoulder. I flinch and turn my head to see it is Akatsuki.

‘Bad timing!! Why is this happening to me?!’

 I want to run away so I don’t have to answer but I have both Akatsuki and this girl here. Too much pressure for me.

“Hello Miss Sakura and Shiro.” He has his intoxicating sweet smile which makes my cheeks blush all the time but now is not the time. I must stay calm. It’s an absolute must!  “Sorry, was I interrupting something?”

“Oh no Mr Tanazuki, u-um I uhh got to go.” Sakura cheeks flush bright red for some reason as she runs off with the other girls. I wonder what’s up with her. I glance at Akatsuki then away. I’m so thankful that he came. Maybe this is good timing. He did help me avoid her question after all. I sigh silently as I start to relax and calm down. Akatsuki chuckles softly and scratches the back of his head at the same time.

“I wonder what that was about” He shrugs then continued talking. “Mmm so Shiro, how was your test?” I can feel his blue diamond eyes piercing me as he looks at me. I manage to look up but I’m nervous as hell. I need to forget about what just happen and act normal otherwise Akatsuki will force me to say what Sakura asked.

“O-Oh well I thought I went pretty well c-considering I didn’t study much. I just hope my results are okay and not too bad.” I smile forcefully as I scratch the back of my head. I’m surprisingly chatty right now which is weird.
