“Oh I remember when you walked into the pole the other week. What were you doing?” Akatsuki chuckles softly as we carry the shopping bags inside the house. My face is a little red as Akatsuki reminds me of all the clumsy things I have done that he has seen, even some of the ones I never knew anyone saw.
‘I can’t believe he remembered!’ My voice rang in my mind as I avoid looking at him so he can’t see my red face.
“It’s not funny okay. That pole came out of nowhere.” I hurry to the kitchen to put the food away. Akatsuki can’t stop laughing as he follows right behind me after we both took our shoes off at the door.
“Sure sure. That pole just jumped out on ya and made you walk into it.” He ruffles my hair like I am a little kid. I sigh softly and just don’t reply so he can’t keep playfully teasing me.
I empty all the plastic bags and put all the food we bought at the shops into their right place in the cupboards. I then leave the kitchen and walk into the lounge room flopping onto the couch. I place my arm over my eyes and just relax into the comfortable couch and cushions. It seems that Akatsuki lives closer to the shops but it is about an extra ten minutes and carrying heavy shopping bags made it more tiring but I guess it’s better to walk than use petrol which is getting more expensive.
“Has that little walk tired you out Shiro?” I hear another chuckle from Akatsuki. He definitely has the giggles but I just can’t help but smile a little. His laugh is pretty contagious.
“I didn’t think it was as far as it is.” I lay still on the couch as I hear Akatsuki’s footsteps come closer to me.
“I told you I would carry the heavier ones but you insisted that you would do it. Silly boy.”
“It’s not my fault” I pout a little with protest.
“Haha I told you the walk was going to be a little steep to walk up that hill on the way back but no you wanted to be the big boy and carry more.” He places his hand on my head and strokes it gently. His long fingers slide through my hair.
“It’s not my fault okay. An older man shouldn’t carry too much” I laugh as I tease Akatsuki.
“Oh! I’m not that old thank you very much.” He laughs too then tickles my sides which makes me flinch and squirm around. A smile tugs at my lips as I try not to laugh. I’m very ticklish on the sides of my ribs.
“You are older though” I remove my arm off my eyes as I start laughing trying to stop Akatsuki from tickling me. He smiles down at me as he laughs with me. I haven’t laughed like this in a long time. Sure Akatsuki makes me smile now but I’ve never laughed in front of him until today.
“True.” He sits on top of my legs so I can’t get away as he tickles me more. I have no choice but to allow him. I’m nowhere near as strong as Akatsuki so I can’t even hold his hands back without him pinning my hands to the couch with only one of his hands. I squirm around like a worm and laughing out like a hyena. I am now officially really embarrassed.
“P-Please stop Akatsuki.” I ask in between laughs. This is a little too much for me to handle. Akatsuki chuckles again then stops but leant down and steals a kiss from my lips.
“You’re so cute Shiro. You have such a sweet laugh and I want to hear it more often okay? You can also just laugh in front of me if it makes you feel better.” He brushes my hair off my face as he keeps his face close and looks deeply into my eyes. My cheeks go red a little the longer I stare into his blue eyes. Akatsuki then kisses my forehead and gets off my legs and let’s go of my arms. “Why don’t we head off early to the fireworks so we get good parking and we can just chill and sit by the bay for a little while?” He suggests.
