Part 23: Sunday's Best

AC's POV

Sunday! I wake up a little late, it's already 9:30 a.m. according to my clock in the bedside table. I stretch my hands upward and let go my last yawn. The first thing that comes in my mind is that I'll be paying a visit in Lucky's house.

I stood up in my bed, take a bath and put on my clothes. I went downstairs and saw Ace eating alone in the our dinning table.

"Morning Ace, where's Mom and Dad?"

"Mom is not yet home, Dad just got arrived and I guess he will take a nap"

Haaayy.. My parents is so hardworking, they didn't mind the hardships they are taking just to give us a comfortable life. I couldn't be more thankful enough for having them the Best Parents in the world.

I started to put meals on my plate and eat. Afterwards, I washed the dishes in the sink. And starting to bake a Lasagna for me to bring at Lucky's house.

After the Lasagna is prepared, I write on a sticky note informing them I'll be in Lucky's house and went on my way.

Lucky's POV

I wake up extra early today, you know why? I am preparing everything for AC's visit today. Yeah! I'm that excited! Inlove leng poh! It almost took me an hour choosing on what to wear. Oh boy! We're not going out! We're just staying home!

I went downstair and saw Dad and Mom preparing something.

"Hey Mom, Hey day"

"Morning anak, you eat first, I am preparing the ingredient needed for baking" Mom informed me.

"I'm not yet hungry Mom, I'll just help you with that" I said and get the measuring cup.

"Seems your too excited today, why? Mom asked me

Was it written over my face that I'm excited to see AC today???!

I heard Dad laughing a bit.

"Honey, ganyang talaga kapag" Dad hang on the last word, he look at me like saying "Ano, shall I say it??"

My guleey!! Don't put me into trouble Dad.

"Kapag ano?!" I heard Mom asking dad with an expression like "Hey! split it out"

"Kapag.... Sunday, diba family day, friends day, no school to think of, ganun" Dad said

Haaay!

"Ewan ko sa inyong mag-ama" Mom said and continue to do what she's about to do.

Dad wink at me and I just shake my head.

I decided to walk towards our living room facing at our main door. I look up at our clock, it's almost 11. She maybe in her way here. I get my phone in my pocket and dialled her number.

AC's POV

My phone rings inside my pocket, and I know it's Lucky who's calling, because of the assign ringtone. "Stay"

I press the answer button.

"I'm on my way, I'll be there in a short while"

"Okay, I'll wait for you nearby in our gate"

"Okay, I'll hang up now..bye"

When I am near I saw Lucky standing near their gate, so I smile at him and run a little towards him.

"Hey! I bought you this" I hand him the container of Lasagna.

"What's this?" he asked and open the container.
