Part 28: The Show

AC's POV

I am walking in the hallway heading to our room that morning when suddenly one of the students give me a red rose. I was hesitant to accept it first but she's insisting so I accepted it. I was thinking if the rose is intentionally for me, maybe she mistaken me for somebody else. I took another steps and another girl give me the second red rose, and few more steps then goes again with another girl handing me the third rose until it reaches 12 roses.

I didn't notice that I'm already near in our classroom door when somebody suddenly strumming a guitar on my back.

I turned around and saw him in guitar. He is smilling at me so wide that his eyes shows it all.

🎶 🎶.. There are times when I just want to feel your embrace in a cold night..

I never thought he could sing well. It adds his appeal while his strumming. He's looking at me tenderly while he's singing.

🎶 🎶.. I just can't believe that you were mine now..you were just a dream that I once knew, I'll never thought I would be right for you..

I notice we are already surrounded with my classmate and students from different section and it seems they are so keylig..

After the last lyrics I could hear everyone, saying "kyaaaaahh.. kakainlove si Brace Arquiza"..

Yes, it's Brace who serenade me early this morning, and I think he's the one responsible for the dozen of rose.

The students still watch us, as he come near me smilling like he just won a lottery.

"Hey! what's with the show?" I cracked a joke and smiled at him

"I just want to let you know how special you are" he said like lover in a novel.

"And you succeeded" I told him " But I'm embarrassed right now, you know"

" Why?"

"Couldn't you see student's surrounds us, they're like watching a teleserye."

His eyes begun to roamed around, and see students who are like waiting for the next episode.

He then begun to wave his hands like his having a mall show.

"Hey, students of Freshgroove U, I want to formally announce that I'm courting this girl" he said shouting and pointing me. I covered my face.

Oh gosh! he's not embarrassed?? If he's not, then I am! So I pulled his hands to stop.

"Hey! stop it, some classes are going on, we might get scolded"

He just give me his boyish smile.

"I just want to know everyone here how lucky I am I got to court you"

"Okay! but thats enough please" I beg him

"Okay, I'll pitch you after your class, I'll be the one to take you home"

I didn't answer him directly, to be honest I miss walking home with Lucky.. Yeah! by the way, I didn't notice Lucky.

I start to scanned everyone in the crowd and finally saw him standing in the corner of the hallway not so far. He is watching us. When our eyes meet, he turned his back and walked away..

I wanted to run after him, but...

"AC, I'll take you home please" Brace pleaded

I was out of mind when I nod at him because I am thinking of Lucky. I just heard him saying..
