Part 26: Date

Brace POV

I am too excited to see AC, she texted me she's already out, so I drive fast heading to their school.

Actually when she texted I'm already ready, I had called to booked the restaurant and all the drama I wanted to happen later. I really like AC..no! scratch that! I think I'm falling for her. She couldn't be away on my mind this fast days, that's why I made an arrangement with my worked schedule. I done all the taping, the shooting and the commercial so I will be free for a week. What will I do in the entire week? I will be doing a double time in courting her!!

I saw her standing in front of the entrance gate in their school. I move out the car and walks toward her.

"Hey! kanina ka pa? I asked her because she seems anxious.

"No! just a minute ago. She said.

"Okay, common let's go" I get her things, when she's about to walk she turned around and she seems looking for something.

"You we're looking for something?" I  asked her

She just smile at me said "No"

So we're heading to my car and let her inside.

As we're inside, I turn on my car stereo.

Hindi ko alam kung sinasadya ba ng pagkakataon, the stereo played a song entitled " Passenger seats"

.. 🎶 🎶 I look at her and have to smile, as we go driving for a while, her hair is blowing in the open window of my car

🎶 🎶..as we go the traffic lights
Watch the glimmer in her eyes
In the darkness of the evening

Right here in the passenger seat
Oh, and I can't keep my eyes on the road
Knowing that she's inches from me 🎶 🎶

Yes! she's everything I need, nothing more! So I'll do everything just to have AC. 

I notice AC is not in her self, she keep on looking outside, so I turned off the music.

"Hey! you're alright? 

She looked at me immediately.

"Yeah! just that school activities makes me a little tired, but I'm okay" she then smiled at me.

We arrived in a fancy restaurant, the guard open the glass door for us. I asked the waiter for our reserved table and guided us there.

I pulled a chair for her and let her seat.

"Thank you" she smiled at me.

I can't hold back my admiration to her "Lalo kang gumaganda kapag ngumingiti"

She just give me a shameful smile.

The waiter give us the menu book and we ordered. She's not choosy in terms of food and that adds my admiration for her.

I notice her eyes is wandering around and she seems uncomfortable.

"AC, what's wrong?"

"Ahm Brace, I think I'm out of dress here, all the ladies are in their elegant casual wear, while me wearing a uniform, you didn't mention you'll be bringing me here"

"Haha, AC kahit ano pang isuot mo, wala silang panama sa ganda mo, at bakit your uniform speak the High Class University you're in."

She didn't argued at all. The waiter came with our orders. We had our dinner, and we talk between eating, I wanted to get to know her more. After the main course, followed our dessert. I whispered the waiter to serenade us a song while having our dessert.

Not in a while, comes a man in a suit holding a violen.

He played the song "Forevermore"

I notice she's smiling between the lyrics, so she love that song, good thing she like it.

I asked her for a dance, and she's hesitant to give her hands first but then decided to let me carried her on the center, as the other couples already swaying their body.

I hold her waist with my two hands while her hands is on my shoulder, we we're swaying our body in the rhythm of the song. I looked at her intently.

"Hey! I'm melting" she said and laugh a bit.

"Am I that hot that your melting?" I let go of a joke!

"Haha, you wish" she said smilling

As the music played, I couldn't afford to lost the apportunity to ask her.

"AC, I know you already have an idea why Im doing this things to you, but I want to make it more clearer and formal"

She's looking back at me intently.

"I wanted to court you formally, please let me" I said between pleading.

I don't care how will you called it, all I cared for is AC to let me.

She stop for a while, and I think she's thinking deeply, I feel like I'm waiting for my sentence to be announce by the judge. It was the longest seconds of my life when she finally said..

"Okay" while smilling to me.

"Really??! I couldn't contain my happiness

"Hey! I just let you to court me, it's not like I already say yes to an proposal" she said

"Sorry, I'm just so happy, you make me happy" then we continue dancing along with the other couple. It seems we're like couple too.

I guess this is the best day ever.

Our dinner went out so special. I got to court her formally and I got to know her better.

We we're heading to their house. I am so nervous because she said she'll introduce me to her family. Para akong isasalang sa audition! Usually I felt nervous whenever I undergo an audition. Peru for AC kakayanin!

As we reach in their house, I feel the nervous is eating me slowly! I let go of a deep breath!

As we went inside, I saw her Mom, her Dad and her Brother setting in the sofa. I think they are actually waiting for us.

"Mom, Dad, this is Brace and Brace this my Mom Cherry, My Daddy Arnold and my younger brother Ace" she introduces us.

"Good evening Sir, good evening Ma'am" I greeted them for it seems I swallowed my tongue.

"Good evening din Ijo" her Mom and Dad greeted me except his Brother that is looking at me like his accusing me for a criminal case!

"Ah Mom, Dad, his the one that I'm talking about who ask me out tonight" she said

"Ah! mabuti naman at nakilala ka namin Ijo, ayaw nga sana naming pasamahin si AC sa hindi pa namin kakilala, peru sa tingin ko mabuting tao ka naman" her Dad told me frankly.

"Wala po akong masamang intention kay AC Sir, I just want to be friends with her."

And the rest is a story to tell. Her Family is so accommodating and nice and all. It adds me to win AC's heart in any way! We had a little talk with her parents and I already informed them I'll be courting AC and they're okay naman as long as I'll court her in their house which I really
planned to do.

I didn't stay longer, I bid them goodbye after an hour. I know AC is tired too and she will be early for school tomorrow.

"Brace, thank you for tonight" she told me while we're standing in their gate.

"No, its me should be the one thankful to, you give me a wonderful night I could ever ask for, I hope this will not be last time I take you out."

"Yeah, let's see"

I went inside my car and start the car engine.

She wave goodbye to me and reminds me to drive safely.

"I'll call you when I get home" I told her

Then drive my car away in their house.
