"Iko, is this really needed? Your dressing me up as if I'm going on a wedding." Cinder groaned as she let Iko ready her up for her so called date. "Of course! You should look like a princess, girl! Kai is going to drool over you when I finish." "And that is the last thing I wanted to happen." Cinder muttered under her breath. She heard the door open, and scarlet and cress came in. "Are you finished, Iko? I... - " "what? Do I look hideous? Ugly?" She turned to Iko. "I told you not to overdo things! Now look, I look like a freak!" "Hey! I didn't overdo anything!" Scarlet interrupted the squabble. "Actually, it's the opposite. You look quite stunning there, cinder. Anyway, that's what I think." "OMS! Cinder you look absolutely GORGEOUS! Kai is gonna faint if he sees you!" Cress did a little dance until she fell over and broke her arm ;) "oww, it hurts." "Cress, who told you to jump on the dressing table?" "Go to the hospital or something, and check if you have a broken arm." "I'm al right! Anyway, I have to style your hair!" And she started jumping again. "There she goes... Cress! Get down here or I won't let you do my hair!" Cress at once jumped down. "I'm down, I'm down." Iko added, "cress do her hair in the best possible way, we will be out. Call if you need anything."
They weren't lying. Cinder looked drag down gorgeous, with her hair let down in straight, and curls in the ends. Her dress was perfect in every way, with white stars scattered on the lovely purple colour. There were several layers, and was just right for cinder.

Gosh, I'm suffocating already." "You are going on a date cinder. And with Kai. What do you expect?" "It's just, this dress.... Don't you feel it's too much for a date? It's the first time I'm wearing this kind of a dress, and it feels awkward." "Did you forget that Kai had bought you a ball gown before?" Cinder's face shrunk at the mention of ball. "Are you ok?" "Yea, I guess. I'm actually kind of afraid of going to the ball. What if levana - " cress cut her off.
"Just stop with the what ifs. For now, you just have to concentrate on the date." "Your right, I guess." The rest of the time was passed in silence. "Are you done yet?" "Yes, just give me a minute, a few corrections, aand, I'm done." Cress moved away and cinder was able to see herself. "Now, look at you, dress and all. You look perfect." Cinder stared at herself in the mirror. "Wow, is it really me? I...I don't look like this."
"Cinder. You do not know what you are capable of. It's high time you develop some self confidence."
"Hm, is cress advising me to have some self confidence?"
Cress blushed. "It's not like that. You know," "Ah, now I see that Thorne has influenced you."
"Is everything ok? Can we come in?" It was Scarlet and iko. "You guys can come in. See my creation." Both of them entered and looked at cinder. "Wow, you look amazing cinder. Probably more beautiful than any other princess in the world."
"Stop it iko, your making me blush." "Aww, your so cute. Make sure to blush hard before Kai. Bye!" "Someone is going to get a spanking when I return." But she had already disappeared behind the doors. "Sometimes she gets on my nerves, you know." "I agree." Scarlet checked the time. "Cinder, I think it's time you go. Kai is waiting for you." "Thanks for all your help, guys. I'll be back soon." "Don't mess it up, cinder! I'll be praying for my favourite OTP!" Iko shouted from outside. "I dare you to show your face Iko!" There was no answer. "She may have escaped from me now, but she'll definitely get a good hiding from me when I return."
KAI POV
I was waiting for her with my limo outside her house. I wondered how she would have dressed. Perhaps a casual dress, or a flowing one, or... My thoughts were interrupted by the closing of a door. It will be her, so I lifted my head to see how she looked.
CINDER POV
I walked down the steps cautiously, so as to not spoil this dress which I'm wearing. I tilted my head to see Kai's reaction. After all, it's only for him that I went through All kinds of pampering. He looked at me, stared rather, as though checking me out. "Um, so I look good? Or.." "Cinder, you look gorgeous. And that dress you are wearing is fit for a queen." I blushed. Hard. Great, I absolutely did not ask for this. "So, where are we going?" "Well, that's a surprise." I pulled a face. "Pulling a face won't help, princess. You just have to wait." "Ok, you win. Now let's go."
"After you." He opened the door of his limo for me to enter. "What a gentleman." He then tgot in with me.
"Are you ready?" "Yes."
MEANWHILE
"Hey, Captain just come here a minute." Thorne came down the stairs and looked at her. "What's the matter, cress? Want another kiss?" She blushed at the word 'kiss'. Thorne had kissed her before and has been teasing her since. "Quit joking around, Thorne. This is serious." "What?! Did Cinder kiss Kai?!" Cress groaned. "For goodness sake, captain, someone has sent a letter to me, and I couldn't find out whom!" Thorne came down and snatched the letter from her. "You don't know who sent this?" She nodded. "I'm clueless. Perhaps Cinder might have an idea about this." "Did you read the letter?" "No." Thorne carefully opened it, and read it out.

Dear crescent moon,
'You need not know who I am, but I will be there helping you, and protecting you. Your sister (ie. Cinder) is in grave danger. Tell her to be cautious wherever she goes, especially on the day of the party. Danger is lurking on every corner of darkness, as the evil queen plans on ruling the world and will do anything to make it come true. Anything can happen on that fateful day , and the princess must be kept safe. It's unfortunate that I can't say anything more than this and All I can do is try to keep you both safe. Keeping away from Levana means keeping away from danger. She plans on some evil task which I couldn't put my hands on. So, stay away from her at all costs, and I can say this, she won't hesitate to kill.'

"What is the meaning of this?" Thorne asked, scratching his chin. "I don't know. We know that we should stay away from Levana, but what is this about princesses and stuff?" "I don't know any princess." "And who is this mysterious person who wrote this letter?" "Sometimes, life can be complicated" cress sighed. "Are you worried?" "Yeah, I can't help but worry about Cinder. She's my sister, you know." "No need to be sarcastic, cress. I can understand." "Maybe we can ask cinder who wrote that letter." Suggested Thorne.  "Yeah, but she's on her date." "Typical cinder. She'll be gone when we need her most." "Captain. I'm getting mad." "Okay, no need to get so worked up." The next few minutes were passed in silence.
"Although you look cute when your worried." Cress blushed again.
"Stop it captain. Your making me blush."
"Do you want me to make you blush harder?"
"Actually, it's a b..." Thorne captured cress's lips for a moment.
"You wanted to say something?" ".......nothing."
"I thought so."
Back to cinder and Kai
CINDER POV
"Where are we going?" "Patience is a virtue, Cinder."  "You've got to be kidding me."  We've being travelling for almost half an hour, but still I'm not aware of where we are going.  "Seriously, kai?"  "We're almost there."  Then, we passed Thorne's place, which was almost on the end of the city. "Are we going out of city?"  "At last you realised."  We travelled for a few more yards, and then, he stopped suddenly. "We are here."
