Kenny waited for Damon to come back with dry clothes. His own hair still dripped like rain drops on his face. He heard Damon shuffling in the other room looking for something that might fit the tiny preachers boy. Kenny glanced down at the hands in his lap. What was he doing? His father would do much worse if he'd known he had come back to Damon's home. Damon stepped back into the room, pulling him from his unhelpful thoughts.
"I found these," Damon held up fluffy pants and a t-shirt, "it is very far from great but-"
"It's fine, really," Kenny smiled softly, "thank you for taking care of me... I'm sorry I was so rude earlier..."
Damon chuckled and laid the clothes on the bed. "Forget about it," Damon smiled again, but held himself from touching Kenny again. Even a simple rest on the shoulder, Damon didn't want to risk it. "I'll leave you to get dressed."
"You're worried to touch me..." Kenny observed, stopping Damon in his tracks, "why? Have I done something wrong?"
"No," Damon said softly and tried to smile a little more convincing. "I was just going to leave so you could get changed."
"Wait," Kenny grabbed Damon's shoulder. His grip was weak, and Damon could pull away easily if he wanted to. He didn't.
Damon stared at Kenny. He felt it: the urge. The urge to kiss him to the ends of the earth. The urge to pin Kenny against his own body. The urge to hold him close. He refrained. "What?"
Kenny froze, he didn't honestly know why he had placed his hand on Damon's shoulder. Kenny would have argued to the ends of the earth that he didn't do the action willingly. But he had. Kenny's and Damon's lips pressed together. Each were taken aback by the action and quickly retreated from the kiss.
They stared at each other for a few moments before Damon spoke, his words sharp and harsh. "How dare you?" Damon hissed and glared at Kenny. "Who do you think you are?"
"I...I.." Kenny stuttered and stared at Damon. He wasn't sure what to do, to say. "I'm sorry..."
Damon's eyes softened from their previous state of fury. He watched Kenny sit down on the bed.
"I'm sorry," Kenny repeated and looked at his hands. He feared the strike that would come next. Kennys eyes burned but, he dared not cry. They loved it when he cried.
Damon's heart fell and his heart began to pound softly in his chest. He wanted to say he was sorry; he wanted to say he hadn't meant it like that. The words wouldn't roll off his tongue or fall off his lips. What was a man to do?
Damon pressed their lips together once more, taking Kenny off guard. The two tumbled backwards onto the bed but, Damon refused to break the kiss between them.
Kenny's eyes widened when Damon pressed softly against him once again. The orbs of green that were Damon's eyes, were shut. Kenny placed a had to Damon's chest, and pushed his own face away. "What are you doing?"
Damon hung his head just to where his forehead rested on Kenny's. Damon's eyes fluttered open with a smile. "Saying I'm sorry."
Kenny hid his smile and looked away from Damon's eyes, his gaze falling on his lips. "Well, apology is not accepted."
Damon frowned, "what do you mean 'not accepted'?"
Kenny looked up into Damon's green eyes once again. Something sparked in his blue orbs and he leaned up, centimeters from Damon's lips, "you're going to have to do better than that."
Damon's cheeks grew pink, but he ignored it. "And what would you classify as better than that?" Damon whispered, his words gruff in Kenny's ear. Their lips brushed
Kenny let out a soft breath against Damon's neck. His body had completely forgotten about the cold from his wet clothes. Swiftly, his hand placed on the back of Damon and pulled him back down into a kiss. It was understood between the two what would be better than a simple kiss. Damon slid tighter in between Kenny's legs. This was the closest they had been, ever, and it sent chills down Damon's spine.
The two said nothing after the deed, but curled against the other and drifted into a heavy sleep.
