Damon sat at his desk and worked on paperwork before he would close up the shop. Once again, his coworkers had left him to lock every thing up, fill out paper work, and make sure everything was in order. It had been three days since Damon had last seen Kenny. Three long days. Damon shook away the thought and stacked up the paper work on the desk before grabbing his keys. Thunder sounded outside and made Damon jump slightly.

"More rain..." Damon ran a hand through his hair and sighed, "it's been raining the past two days..."

Damon flipped through the keys to find the right one to lock up the shop. His leather jacket slipped over his shoulders and he made his way to the parking lot. The rain came down like a blanket in the air and made Damon stop before he stepped off the steps with the canopy and into the rain. Damon locked the door and sucked in a breath before he raced towards his car.

The rain hit ice cold against his skin and made his feet sprint a little faster. The droplets traced his jaw and fell slowly to the ground. Damon's breath was visible in front of him before he slipped into the drivers seat and shivered.

The sun was hidden or had already set, which was the answer Damon couldn't tell. He switched on his headlights and made his way slowly down the street. He was a mile away from the shop when something caught his eye, something he wouldn't have seen if he hadn't been going as slow as he was. It wasn't a something; it was a someone. Someone he knew.

Damon pulled over in front of the shadow and pushed open his door. The person stopped and stared, their breath creating a cloud of mist into the freezing air. Damon stepped into the freezing rain and walked towards the shadow slowly at first.

"Kenny?" Damon's voice cracked as he peered through the darkness caused by the rain.

"Stay away from me!" Kenny hissed and stepped backwards, "This is all your fault! Leave me alone!"

Damon's face twisted, "how could it be my fault? I haven't seen you in days!" Kenny continued to back away from Damon, causing him to step forward and grab his shoulder. Kenny's face was bruised, beaten, and bloodied as he stared back at Damon with spiteful eyes. How was this his fault? He hadn't even known... Damon sighed, "let me at least get you cleaned up and then I'll take you home."

"No!" Kenny's eyes flashed panic and he tried to take another step from Damon.

"Just let me clean you up." Damon tried to smile.

"I said no!" Kenny snapped.

"Fine," Damon bit his cheek, "let me at least take you home, it's freezing."

Kenny froze for a moment before he finally nodded, "but just a ride home. No funny business."

Damon nodded and dropped his hand from Kenny's shoulder. The two walked to the car and slipped inside of the heavy doors. Damon didn't turn around, but instead drove towards his own home once again.

Kenny's eyes searched Damon's face for any sign he was going to turn around, but there was none. "What happened to you taking me home?"

"I am," Damon smirked, "I'm taking you to my home so I can clean you up and you can tell me what happened to you."

Kenny's eyes flashed panic, "no! We agreed you'd just take me home! Let me out!" Kenny's hand began to tug at the handle to a locked door, "I demand you let me out!"

"And then what?" Damon growled and glared over at Kenny, "let whoever did this to you find you and let them do it again?"

Kenny looked down at his hands, "he wouldn't have to find me..."

Damon pulled into his driveway and parked the car. Before he unlocked the doors, he looked at Kenny, "just let me clean you up?"

Kenny looked away, "I'll just walk home..."

"After we're done here," Damon said and pushed his door open, unlocking all the doors, "I don't care."

Kenny looked over before opening his own door. The rain poured even harder on the earth and made Kenny shiver once again. "Why are you so intent on getting me 'cleaned up'?"

"Because I care about you." Damon flipped through his keys to find the one that would open his home, "and I want to know who did this to you."

Kenny frowned but followed Damon into the home and sat down on the couch. He said nothing as Damon grabbed whatever to 'clean him up.' Kenny ran his fingers across his swollen cheek, split lip, and bloody nose. It didn't seem that bad when he saw his reflection in a puddle.

Damon softly sat beside him and dabbed alcohol onto a hand towel. "This is going to sting." His only warning before the towel pressed against Kenny's cuts and sores sending jolts of pain through him.

"Oww!" Kenny whined and tried to pull away, but Damon held him firm.

"I'm almost done." Damon muttered and wiped the last bit of cuts on Kenny's face before he finally put the towel down. "There."

Kenny cupped his still stinging face and cursed quietly under his breath. "There I'm cleaned up."

"Now tell me what happened?" Damon asked, his eyes pleading for an answer.

The orbs of green stared into Kenny's heart and made him want to tell Damon everything. How he had been struck, where, and why. He just couldn't. If he did, lord knows how he would react. He would think of him less. Kenny looked down at his hands, "I just did something I wasn't supposed to and I payed the price for it. It was my fault."

"Well what did you do then?" Damon said as he patched up Kenny's cuts.

"I went on a date and my dad found out and-" Kenny froze. He had just given it all away, every thing he was trying to keep hidden.

"Your dad did this?" Damon stood slightly, but Kenny wasn't sure if he was angered or grabbing something else.

"Did I say that?" Kenny chuckled nervously, "I didn't mean it that-"

"Yes you did." Damon glared at him, "I think I need to have a word with your father." Damon dabbed more alcohol on Kenny's lip making him flinch. "And you are staying here until I have a conversation with this man."

"No. Damon it's fine...."

"It is not fine. You're still bleeding, that's not fine to me."

"But-"

"I'm talking him tomorrow. And you're staying here till then."

"Okay..."
