Damon awoke the next morning next to Kenny in his bed. The memory of what they had done the previous night slowly glowing back into his mind. A small blush spread across Damon's face and he sat up on the bed. Kenny stirred but didn't wake just yet. Swiftly, Damon made his way into the kitchen, still bare from prior occasions. He started on breakfast, hoping he could throw something together before Kenny could wake up. He threw together a plate of bacon and eggs before Kenny rounded the corner as bare as he was the previous night.
"What are you doin? I woke up and you were gone." Kenny said, his eyes tired.
"I figured I'd make breakfast in bed for you," Damon placed the plate on the table and made his way to Kenny, "but you didn't stay in bed long enough." Damon wrapped his arms around Kenny from behind and rested his head on Kenny's shoulder.
Kenny smiled and leaned his head against Damon's, "I love you, but I gotta go..."
"Why must you leave? There is no proper reason for you to leave. The one who hurts you is away at your home and I am here. So tell me," Damon turned Kenny to look at him, them both now standing straight, "why must you leave?"
"Because my mom is at home," Kenny argued and shrugged Damon's hand off of him.
"So is your father," Damon said remembering the hate he harbored for the man. "Why should you even think about wishing to go back to such a place?"
"Because..." Kenny shook his head, you just wouldn't understand. It's not my place to say whether or not I can go back or no. It's the fact that I have to go back."
Damon sighed and looked over his shoulder, "I'll take you home," a faint sigh escaped his lips, "but only if I get to have a word with your father."
"There is no need for that Damon." Kenny protested his arms crossed, "just leave it."
Damon frowned, "then you're not going home."
"I'll walk."
"No you wouldn't!"
"Try me!"
Kenny raced for the door as fast as he could but, he was still cut off by Damon. Swiftly, Damon swept Kenny off of his feet and pinned him, back against the wall. Kenny gasped at the sudden impact and stared into Damon's eyes. Damon only smirked and kissed softly at Kenny's neck.
"Damon," Kenny chuckled softly and tried to push Damon off lightly, "stop it! I'm supposed to be mad at you!!"
"You can't stay mad at me," Damon smirked and moved away from Kenny. "Go get dressed so I can take you home."
Kenny obliged and walked back to the bedroom in a hunt to find his clothes. Damon watched him walk away before he made his way to where his wet clothes had been put the night before. Swiftly, he pulled the flannel over his shoulders and pulled the plaid boxers onto his body. "If only I could get away with just wearing this." Damon muttered to himself and began to dig around to find his pants.
Kenny sat on the bed and pulled up the warm clothes Damon had given him the night before. He just hadn't got a chance to wear them. He pulled the warm clothes onto his pale body and burrowed into them. He couldn't find his boxers, or any of the clothes he wore to Damon's home for that matter, so these clothes would have to do.
Damon came into the room and looked at Kenny. His hair was still so messed up, it made him laugh. "Ready to go?" Damon asked. He walked over and wrapped his arms around Kenny, "or do you want to stay..?" Damon would have punched himself if he could. He sounded so needy, so clingy.
"I wish I could stay." Kenny rested his head on Damon's shoulder, "but I have to get home to my mom."
"Okay," Damon agreed and ran his hand through Kenny's hair. If anything would happen to Kenny, what would he do? Damon shook away the troubling thought, "well come on then. Let's get you home."
-----------------
The two got into the car and began the drive to Kenny's house. Damon's accepted directions as he went to make sure he was going the right direction."Damon," Kenny asked as he stared out the window.
"Yes?" Damon asked and glanced over at Kenny. His eyes grew worried when he noticed how Kenny's shoulders slumped so.
"Why did you stop when you saw me on the side of the road?" Kenny looked over and made eye contact with Damon, "why didn't you just keep going?"
Damon put his eyes back on the road and smirked. "You just looked familiar. Figured I'd stopped and see who it was."
"Really?" Kenny asked looking at his hands. His voice quiet, "okay. Just thought I'd ask."
"Okay," Damon pulled over to the side of the road so he wouldn't crash, put the car in park, and looked at Kenny. A car passed slowly past them. "That is enough of that."
"Enough of what?" Kenny looked up quickly, panic hidden within his eyes.
"Just accepting what I say." Damon said, "never accept what you don't like. Challenge it."
"That's bad advice." Kenny smiled softly, "you shouldn't challenge everything you disagree with."
"Maybe. Maybe not." Damon said and placed his hand on Kenny's jaw, "but you can always challenge me if you don't agree with what I'm saying. No more 'just wanted to ask' or 'oh okay' or 'yes sir'. Okay?"
Kenny smiled softly and nodded, "okay."
Damon nodded and began the drive back towards Kenny's home. Kenny went back to staring out the window and thought of Damon's words.
