The Seer had told him and now he was in a small room, which was empty apart from a strange cloudy mirror in front of him.

Niall couldn't think straight, he was still thinking about his last card, a shiver ran through him as he thought about it.

Niall noticed he had been walking closer to the mirror as if something was drawing him in...

The mist like clouds in the mirror suddenly changed shape and closed together, Niall's breathing hitched as he watched as the mist formed a man, someone similar shape to him.

Someone who looked like him...

As the shape of the man became more human an evil horribly familiar laugh came from the mist then "Come on mate, you can do better than that"

Nialls eyes widened as he recognised it and stepped backwards so fast he stumbled, almost falling over.

Niall soon was staring in the face of himself, apart from his reflection had black eyes, paler skin and the sneer that was on his reflections expression seemed to change what Niall looked like completely, to a much darker and extremely dangerous individual.

His reflection chuckled darkly "And we have a winner"

Niall spluttered "But..no..you're me? I don't understand"'

Niall's darker self sighed patronisingly "Oh come on Niall, don't you remember me?"

Suddenly images of his time as a shadow flashed into Niall's mind, when he'd tried to attack Amy, how he'd killed those people in the pub and one of his first kills Sammy and a few other humans he didn't know the name of but he remembered the feeling, the thrill, the blood lust and the endless hunger and anger that had clouded his mind.

Niall stepped backwards again seeing his reflection watching him with a full dark smile and a cruelty glinting in his reflections black as night eyes that Niall just did not have but the Images helped him to understand one thing...

Niall said his voice quite '"You're me, my shadow half...but when I was a shadow I don't think I was being controlled?"

His reflection laughed and shook his head "Niall, Niall, Niall, I'm a part of you, this mirror just makes the dark side of you come to life, I'm really just a part of your subconscious, I'm not real, you can't be controlled by something that's already a part of you"

His reflection said "We're the same people Niall, I'm just more...how do you say it?"

Niall grumbled "Evil?"

His shadow self sniggered "Aw, you hurt my feelings"

Niall growled "Shadows don't have any feelings! Not the type that can get hurt anyway!"

His reflection just smirked at him, not answering.

Niall groaned "Why am I here?"

Suddenly his reflection looked more serious and said intensely "Well... that's up to you"

His reflection explained his options in a bored tone...

Niall stared at his shadow half, his brain felt like it was doing flips inside his skull, what would he chose?

His shadow self said slowly "You know its quite an easy decision when you think about it"

Then Niall remembered something the Seer had told him, had she been hinting at what option he should take?
