(Ellie's POV)

I woke up in someone else's bed as I felt a strong pain in my thighs waking me up.

"Your leg is bleeding, I can feel it" Harry's voice said making me sit up quickly.

"Harry? What am I doing here? How did I get here?" I asked asking him a million and one questions as he appeared into my sight.

"You were kidnapped. Again." He said sitting at the end of the bed. I swung my legs over the bed as I listened to him.

"luckily I knew the guy and sorted the situation. But he left before I could really do real damage." He carried on. I looked around to see where I was but when I saw a picture of me and Harry in the corner of my eye, I knew straight away that his was his room.

"Thanks" I murmured knowing that he could hear me as I felt my leg heal up.

"But I think I should get back to the portal really" I said standing up looking for the exit.

"Do you want me to drive you there?" he asked standing up as well.

"I don't think that's a good idea." I said reluctant to take his offer due to all things considering.

"It's fine, I won't make it awkward. We can even ride in silence." He said. Even though I knew it wasn't a good idea, I needed to get home. I left my phone with Laura stupidly when she said she would look after my bag so I couldn't even call someone else to pick me up and considering I was pretty far from the portal and in last nights dress, I don't think it's the best time for a mid-day walk.

"Okay fine but no pit stops" I said before we walked out of his room.

"So you wanting to go the portal then?" he asked for to start up conversation as I quickly walked to get out of here.

"Yeah please. If it's not too much trouble." I said as we approached the main area of the mansion.

"Ellie?" I heard Jake shout out to me.

"Jake?" I asked turning to his direction happy to get out of an awkward, practically running towards him.

"What are you doing here? I thought I dropped you back at that portal thingy?" He said making me laugh a little.

"There was a situation and I ended up back here unfortunatly. How come you're here?" I asked happy to see him.

"The alpha left his moon-ring here so I needed to get it considering its a full moon tonight" He explained.

"Yeah that makes sense" I commented.

"If you want a lift to your portal thingy I can drop you back if you want?" He offered and even though I saw Harry deep in conversation else where with a stranger and who I think is Louis, Jake's offer sounds more appealing.

"Yeah. I'll just have to tell Harry because he was going to give me a lift." I explained.

"You can still go with him if you want" He said looking over at him.

"No no I'd rather go with you trust me" I stated gaining his attention.

"Hold on I'll be right back" I carried on walking away towards Harry who had quickly finished his conversation to listen to what I had to say.

"Is it alright if we go in five minutes? I've got something to just sort here for a second." He asked.

"Actually that's why I came to you. I've managed to get a lift from Jake but thanks any way for the offer." I said

"You sure?" He said a little hesitantly looking over at Jake who smiled back at me completely ignoring Harry's existence.

"I'll be okay. I'll catch you around." I said turning back to Harry before walking away from him.

"You ready to go?" I asked as I reached where he was.

"yeah let's go" He said as we walked out of the mansion

"Thanks for the lift again" I said as I opened the car door outside of the portal.

"it's okay, you've got my number if you want to hang out" He said as I got out of the car and turned to face him.

"yeah that would be nice." I said slowly closing the door. I watched him as he drove away but a noise from behind me made me turn around to that direction.

"Ellie! Honey!" My mother's voice called out to me. I turned around to see her fearing the worst, this only meant one thing considering how her condition was the last time I saw her.

"no" I murmured as I ran to her hugging her when I reached her.

"I'm sorry. I tried to hold on as long as I could but it was too much" She said comforting me

"At least you're not in pain anymore." I commented.

"Don't cry. I'll always be watching over you. Okay?" She said trying to comfort me and with every word she said, I could feel her fade away from me.

"I love you" I cried out.

"I love you hunny" She said as I felt her completely disappear. I stood in the street facing the portal looking at a place I didn't really know as home. The pain of her actually being gone was a feeling of being consumed into the ground in a forest, a feeling I never wanted to feel.
