(Harry's POV)

I stood on the balcony watching over a gathering of the vampires inside the mansion. They were all talking to themselves awaiting for me to talk, I turned to the Liam who was trying to talk to me about something but I didn't have time.

"You really need to listen to what I have to say." Liam said.

"Tell me after" I said before turning to the group awaiting on me.

"Thank you all of you for coming today" I said gaining their attention making them go quiet.

"Due to recent events, we have learnt that there are traitors to our kind and to the treaty among us here. I understand that some of you have doubts about how we work around here and if you do that is fine, but that means you can leave now." I carried on now waiting.

"We are a family here. Family means loyalty and trust. And that trust was broken by a few of the older ones of you. So I'll ask again, are you with us or are you against us? Because there is no in between." I stated looking around and when I saw there was no movement, it was clear that there was conflict brewing within these truth tellers and liars.

"And because of yesterday, the treaty and alliance we have with the witches has gone. And along with that will be the wolves due to a change in leadership." I explained but what interrupted by a vampire who looked no older than 18.

"Wasn't it a witch who cast that spell on the vampires yesterday?" She called out.

"A manipulated witch. Her spells were not of her choice." I replied to her. I looked around at the others who had started to mutter to the person next to them.

"So anyone who is caught in their area near the portal will be killed. End of." I stated before turning away from them causing the chatter to become louder and more of it.

"And how do you plan to control that?" Louis asked as I pushed a hand through my hair. I gathered them into a room away from the others so I could talk to the boys in private.

"I won't. But the witches will." I stated closing the door behind myself.

"They won't help us are you crazy?" Louis responded

"No. They are mad with us, but mostly scared. Knowing Ellie she will want to protect the witches. She won't let in a ten foot radius of the portal and let them live." I explained.

"He has a point" Niall said.

"Okay" Louis agreed to the plan getting on board.

"Guys there's an issue." Liam said speaking up crossing his arms as he spoke.

"Is this about what you wanted to tell me earlier?" I commented.

"Yes. Do you remember that Laura girl? Ellie's friend" He said. I knew her, unfortunately. She never liked me and I thought she was rude. It was a mutual feeling.

"Yeah why?" I asked wondering where he was going with this.

"She told me some home truths about magic in general. Something I can go into detail in a later date. But she told me something I never knew about Ellie and her magic. The truth about her family." He explained

"What does this have to with what's going on?" I asked wondering where he was going with this.

"She is the last decedent of the royal witch blood line. That means all the energy and power from the previous witches go to her. But if she dies, that power will resurrect all the dead ancestors of her line. That's a lot of angry witches wanting to execute the vampire species." He explained further.

"How can we prevent that from happening?" Niall asked

"She can either get pregnant which would not obviously not make her the last decedent or she can never die." Liam said.

"What does this have to do with the issue at hand? This is just making things even more complicated." Louis said trying to wrap his head around it like me and Niall.

"Laura found out that Nathaniel, our dearest mischievous friend wants to kill her in order to make that happen, by resurrecting all those dead witches he will have the upper hand." Liam explained

"that's crazy" Niall scoffed.

"How could he possibly benefit from more witches?" Louis asked.

"Power. Security. Just to name a few" Liam stated.

"For all we know she could have been feeding you lies" I said not wanting to believe it.

"He was the one who killed Ellie's aunt and uncle. Her grandparents found out and they payed the price. It's true Harry and the quicker you believe it, the more time we have to make an action plan." Liam spoke.

"Like what exactly? Ellie is not really on speaking terms with me now thanks to last night and even if we were, how would I protect her? What, get her pregnant? again? protect her with men watching her making her feel like she's under house arrest never to live her life?" I said making a point

"Harry" Louis said trying to reason with me as a temper came out of nowhere.

"No Louis. One of the many reasons we broke up was because I was always protecting her. Now we have broken up, I doubt she is going to want her ex looking after her." I stated.

"We'll do it." Liam offered. I turned putting my hands on the back of my neck thinking. She wouldn't want to protection, she wants a normal life, I want to make that happen, but I need her to stay alive.
