(Ellie's POV)

He decided to stand up to avoid the tension as I looked away.

"I think it's best if I go." He said helping me stand.

"Yeah" I murmured putting the necklace around my neck as I got my balance. He looked weary at me as he quickly let my hand go.

"I don't want to risk that either." He said as he let me go.

"Yeah" I repeated. It was weird feeling this comfortable around him, all I wanted was to hate him and seek some sort of vengeance but I didn't feel I could. I felt my phone buzz in pocket for the hundredth time today as I was ignoring everyone but it was strange to see Harry also get a phone call. I answered my phone as he did his.

"Hello?" seeing it was a call from Laura.

"You need to get to the portal entrance. Now." She said sounding scared.

"Why? I'm on my way now" I said walking down the hill ignoring Harry who was also on the phone.

"The vampires. It's weird. It's like they're craving our blood. They're on the hunt." She explained as I was speed walking to the area.

"Are you in or out?" I asked

"Out, hurry" She replied before hanging up. As I put my phone in my coat pocket, I looked up and saw Harry offer his hand.

"I got the same call, take my hand, we'll get there quicker" He said offering his gift of speed to the rescue. And even though the touch of his skin sent me through a frenzy myself, I took it anyway needing to get there as soon as possible. When we got there, his men were surrounding the portal and the witches and as the vampires had the majority, it didn't look for my kind. I let go of Harry's hand and decided to us my power and the power from the necklace to make the vampires brains paralyze them. Walking towards them making myself known as I did this, I watched as the dropped to the floor one by one as Harry tried to stop me.

"Ellie! What the hell?" he asked but I was in the zone. I could feel the energy of a witches magic that had been put on them all, as I was using magic on them to look deeper into who and the why.

"Everyone. In the portal. Now" Laura shouted as the wind gushed through the ally. I saw Laura come out from the crowd as the others quickly gathered themselves together to get in the portal. I could see a witch and a man hovering over her commanding her to make the spell. She looked about 14 and looked intimidated.

"Where is she getting this much power from?" She asked Harry as I walked away from them both so I could focus on the vampires. I dropped my magic from them and saw them collect themselves as they looked around at each other in shock. I twisted my hands twisting the vampire's necks to knock them out hoping that the spell will break if they die. Dropping my hands down to let them swing beside them, I turned on my heels to face Laura and harry to tell them what I had discovered.

"What was that?" Harry shouted sounding pissed.

"They were under a spell. Thanks to one of your vampire friend's none of the less." I said crossing my arms as he made his way towards me, being cautious of who he is walking over.

"These are people" He shouted pointing at them.

"And they'll survive. My people wouldn't if we hadn't gotten here in time." I said in the same tone as him.

"What am I meant to do with them now?" He asked referring to the number of them, making eye contact with me.

"Ellie. We should get back." Laura spoke up looking around at some of the bodies looking conscious.

"Yeah I think we should." I replied looking directly into Harry's eyes before breaking the contact, turning around to enter the portal, Laura going first.

"Wait." He shouted stopping me. I turned around wondering what he could possibly say. I saw how he was surrounded by his men who were getting up looking weak and confused.

"In a week. Nine at night. Meeting of all the factions" he stated making me nod in response before I turned around and entered the portal. Now getting used to the weird feeling that the entrance gave me, when I entered. I saw the witches mending their wounds and talking, but when they noticed I had come through, they looked pleased to see me.

"Everyone. I would just like to say that behaviour like that from their kind as you saw will not be tolerated. They were innocent vampires however taken over from a spell. And I need to know the witch who did it. I know it was none of you, because she is with them now. She looks about fourteen but the witch responsible is in danger. Anyone who knows of her please speak out either in private or now." I spoke loudly as everyone was listening.

"Her name is Anna Rose. Her parents were killed by vampires not so long ago when the drama just kicked off. She went missing but we just thought she was dead because we could track her." A Lady spoke up making herself known.

"We're going to change that today." I said bravely trying to show my leadership to the others.
