Chapter 12 : Recall

Whew. Luckily I brought a shawl with me.

It's super cold in this restaurant and I am practically going to freeze to death. The shawl isn't really helping though. We are here waiting for Xavier's brother to arrive. We've been waiting for 15 minutes and Xavier is very unpleased with that. I can see his patience wearing off.

"Where is he ?" He grumbled. I put my hand on his arm and tried to calm him down. The first time I saw him, I can see that he's an impatient man. "I'm sure he'll be here any minute." I gave him a small smile but he didn't return one. Ugh. Men. I decided to let him calm down by keeping quiet. I find that the best way to calm someone down. Well, maybe not to everyone, but it works on me all the time.

I can hear footsteps coming towards our table and Xavier's chair screeched as he stood up. I looked up to see- Hey, isn't that the guy I just saw this afternoon ? I examine his features properly and tried to recall the face I saw earlier this afternoon. Cheese and crackers, it really is him !

He looks really clean, neat, smart. Everything that describes a business man. Oh. Yea. He's really hot too. Like really, really, really, really hot. But not as hot as Xavier. He's my man, and will always forever be.

Not again. This thing keeps happening to me ! I am always assuming that he's mine and not other's. This is really maddening.

Xavier shook his brothers hand. Wow, formal much. They look like they're dealing with serious business over here. His brothers eyes turn to look at me and I felt my cheeks redden. His piercing gaze is so intense, I can barely look at him. He took my hand slowly and brought it to his lips. He kissed it softly, his lips are icy cold. Ew. Is he like, cold blooded ? "I see we meet again, Miss Morgan." He said seductively. Wow. He's a serial flirt.

"You know him ?" Xavier asks angrily.

"No ! No, definitely not ! We just... Ah.... Uh... We bumped into each other at a....a.. Pharmacy !" I quickly made up something to make Xavier believe me. He raised an eyebrow. "Really ? A pharmacy ?" He said crossing his arms. "Yea ! Buying... Uh... Sanitary pads !" Of all the things they sold in the pharmacy, I had to say that. He didn't look convinced, so I decided to use his brother.

"We bumped into each other at the pharmacy today right ?" Giving him the 'eye' to him. He smirked and cleared his throat. "Actually, we met each other at her house." What the heck ?! I thought he got the message ? "I was driving down from my office and I wanted to know the directions to this restaurant, therefore I decided to stop by one of the houses to ask. Coincidently, it was Miss Morgan's house." He ended his speech professionally. I rolled my eyes and gave him a small glare.

Xavier looked between me and his brother and I think he believes his brother more than me, because he's giving me the stink eye now, and also a 'tell me everything later' face. I sighed and slumped down against the expensive chairs and took a deep breath in. Great. Now I owe him and explanation.

We finished our food and I drank the tiny bit of wine that was left in the wine glass. Both of the brothers, or should I say step brothers are having a very serious talk. But occasionally, Collin(Xavier's step brother) will glance over me and gave me a smirk or a wink. I have no idea what is wrong with that man. Doesn't he have a wife or something ? With two kids ? Man whore.

Xavier didn't seem to pleased about that, and tried to keep his brother concentrated in the 'business talk' that they're having. I have no idea what are both of them saying, because they are practically whispering to each other ! Why on earth would I want to know what their conversation is about ? I also have no idea why is Xavier talking so seriously like a business man trying to make deals and shit with his client. I mean, he's still in high school, you know. It just doesn't fit.

Me on the other hand, is playing with my cutleries. I admit I'm a little childish and immature. I'm using the fork and lightly tapping it on the wine glass, making different sounds and rhythms. I made the sound of twinkle, twinkle little star and the waiter that was standing nearby, gave me a disapproval look.

I think someones forgetting who the customer is.

I can feel my body trying to shut down as I feel exhausted and want to just lie on my bed and sleep with the cozy comforters, bears, pillows, boaters etc. I have bears on my bed, okay. Even Stitch the character from 'Lilo and Stitch'. I lightly touch Xavier's arm and whispered and whined in his ear "I want to go home." I gave him my puppy dog eyes, but I bet I look like a fish choking. That doesn't even make sense. He nod and said to Collin "Chelsea, needs to go home. So I'll make arrangements for the next time we meet each other." He stated. Collin looked at me again, I swear this is like the 15th time he looked at me. "Sure. No problems. But I have a request." He smirked slightly. "What ?" Xavier asked. "Bring her along too." Collin purred. Oh my goodness. Is he some kind of pedophile ? He's like way older than me.

"Hell no." Xavier replied easily. I grinned a little and hugged his arm and lay my head down on his arm. Ahh. So comfortable. I can see Collins eye filled with anger. Why is he angry ? Psh. This guy has serious issues. He walked over to me and kissed my hand once again, " It was nice seeing you again, Miss Morgan." Then he left. Hah. He didn't bid his brother goodbye. Such a pity.

"Alright let's go." He said pulling my hand leading me towards the exit.

"Wait. What about the bill ?" I asked. "Collin paid for it." His eyes darkened at the name he mentioned. I ignore it and we walked towards the car park.

I slipped on the seat belt and felt my eye lids start to droop. Before I fall into a deep sleep, someone whispered into my ear "Sleep my Love." Then I blacked out completely.
