Chapter 56

Harry's P.O.V.

"Do you still want to get married?" she asked me trying to hold back tears. I just stayed silent. she took the ring off her finger and stared at it. a tear fell down her face. my heart broke. she put the ring in my hand then ran off. everyone came up to me.

"What did you say to her?" Sam asked angrily.

"She asked me if I still wanted to marry her."

"And?"

"I didn't say anything."

"What did she do after that?" Sam asked.

"She put the ring in my hand then ran off."

"Oh please god no!!"

"What Sam?!"

"Last time you had a fight she tried to kill herself. harry you need to check on her now!!" she screamed. I ran to my car and jumped it. I was driving faster than the speed limit. when I got to our flat I opened the door. I was about to call her name but then I saw Riley standing there with pills in her hand. one bottle was empty so I'm guessing she's had a lot before I came. she put more in her mouth and swallowed them. I ran over to her and grabbed the rest of the pills. I called 999 and said I needed an ambulance. I looked back over and saw Riley collapsed on the ground. I ran over to her and picked her head up. the ambulance got here. they picked her up and put her on a stretcher.

"Sir do you want to come in the truck with up?" one of the paramedics asked. I nodded and got in the truck. as soon as we got there a lot of nurses were yelling.

"We need a doctor immediately, stomach pump, drug overdose, attempted suicide." one of the nurses said. They took her in the ER and made me stay out. I was sitting in the waiting room rocking back and forth. I need to call her mom.

"Hello?" her mom answered.

"Hi, I just wanted to give you an update about what's going on."

"Okay?"

"Earlier Riley tried to kill herself by jumping off a bridge."

"What?!"

"Let me finish. then she asked if I still wanted to marry her and I didn't say anything. then she gave me the ring then ran off. I went back to our flat to see Riley taking pills. she tried to kill herself by drug overdose."

"My baby!! Ill be there in 10 minutes." she said then hung up. I'm so stupid. I'm so so stupid. when Becky finally joined me we both hugged each other. I then told her everything that has happened today.

6 hours later

Me and Becky are still in the waiting room, with no word on how's she's doing.

"Is anyone here for Riley Bard?"a doctor called. me and Becky stood up. "who are you to her?" he asked.

"Her mom and her-" I paused not knowing what to say.

"And her fiancé." Becky finished. he lead us to her room. we walked in and Riley was laying there. when we walked in her eyes slowly opened.

Riley's P.O.V.

'Beep beep beep'

I slowly opened my eyes. I saw harry and my mom standing there with tear stained faces. they were staring at me.

"Ah ms. bard you are awake." a guy said. I'm assuming he's the doctor.

"What happened?" I croaked. I picked up a cup of water and drank it.

"Well Ms. Bard, you tried to commit suicide by drug overdose. as soon as you were brought here we rushed you into the ER and pumped your stomach. luckily we did it in time before all of the capsules dissolved. this young lad here has been here for 7 hours waiting for you. your mother here has been her for 6. She has eaten and drank and slept. but thing young lad hasn't eaten anything and has refused to go home and get some rest. he told the nurse that he was not moving from the chair till he knew you were okay." A tear rolled down my face. I looked over at harry. he was now sitting in the chair sobbing.
