chapter 46

Riley's P.O.V.

me and harry pulled away form the hug and just stared at each other. he took something out of his pocket. i realized it the promise ring.

"please?" he asked me. i just nodded. he took my hand and put the ring on my hand. he looked at my eyes and to my lips. he started leaning in. i felt his lips brush against mine. he kissed me and i kissed back. we pulled apart and sat back down. my mom was staring at us in 'awe'.

"you guys are so cute. you have a great guy, Riley. don't let him go."

"i wont" me and my mom exchanged numbers and addresses. i gave her a hug bye and me and harry started walking home.

3 months later

me and harry have been together for 3 months now. we are still going strong. we are madly in love. me and my mum have built a strong relationship too. I'm officially her daughter again. i am currently sitting here in my flat with Niall, and his girlfriend Brooke, Liam, Danielle, Louis, Eleanor, Zayn, Perrie and harry. i think Niall found his princess.

"Riley, can i talk to you in the kitchen?" Liam asked me.

"um sure" i said then followed him into the kitchen.

"i need help" he said panicked.

"Liam calm down, need help with what?"

"i want to propose to Danielle tonight, but i want to make it special and memorable."

"Liam leave it to me. we will go back in there and i will leave and figure something out. in the meantime keep everybody out of the backyard until i come back and tell you its all clear okay?" he gave me and okay and we walked back into the living room.

"harry can i borrow your car?" i asked him.

"yeah why?"

"because i need to go to the store and get stuff." he nodded. he tossed me the keys and i headed out. i was going to the store to get about 300 candles and a couple bags of rose petals. i got to the store and got 2 carriages of candles. i left the store and put the bags and the back of the car. i grabbed all 20 bags and walked through the living room, where everybody was sitting. everybody was staring at me weirdly. i just kept walking. i set the candles up in the words 'marry me?' and a heart around it. i got the ones that are already lit because if they blew out it would look right. i scattered flower petals all around it. i went into the living room.

"Liam come up to the roof with me?"

"okay?" he said weirdly. harry was glaring at me. i gave him a questioning look. i took him up to the roof.

"what am i looking at?" he asked looking at the sky.

"look down on the ground dummy" he looked down and gasped.

"its perfect!!" he said then gave me a hug. "when i do it i want everybody down on the ground." i gave him a nod. we walked back inside and sat down with everybody. i sat down next to harry. he was avoiding eye contact with me. i took my hand and turned his head towards me.

"what?!" he snapped. i was taken back by his tone. my eyes filled with tears. he just sat there staring at me. i just stood up and walked out to the front porch and just sat there. my hair was blowing in the wind. a tear rolled down my face. i heard the door open and close.

"I'm sorry." i could tell it was harry. i just sat there not doing or saying anything. he came and sat down in front of me. he put his finger under my chin and lifted my head up.

"hey are you crying?" he asked. i just sniffled and wiped away a tear. his eyes met mine.

"what did i do to make you mad at me?" i finally found my voice.

"i was just having thoughts about you and Liam."

"you think i am cheating on you?" i asked surprised by his assumption. he doesn't say anything. "wow" i mumbled. i looked down staring at the ground. another tear rolled down my face.

"I'm sorry. i should trust you and i didn't. you trust me so there would be no reason for me not to trust you, but i need to know something." i gave him 'okay' look. "what were you and liam doing in the kitchen and on the roof?"

"i don't know if she wants me to tell anyone." and with that he got up and left. i was out there for another 5 minutes. then i walked back in.

"Danielle can i take you somewhere?" he grabs her hand and smiles at me. i see jealousy flood Harry's eyes.

"come om everybody" i said excitedly. everybody followed me outside. i saw Liam and Danielle on the roof. on one knee. Danielle had her hands over her mouth and she shook her head yes. Liam stood up and skipped the ring on her finger then they shared a kiss.

"did you do this?" she asked Liam.

"no actually Riley did it. when we were in the kitchen i was asking her for help. then she went to the store to get this. and then when we went up to the roof she was showing me what she did." he said beaming with happiness. i looked over at harry and saw guilt fill his eyes. he mouthed 'I'm sorry' i mouthed back 'its okay' then smiled. Danielle came running outside and jumped into my arms.

"thank you for making this the best moment of my life!"

"you deserve it" we pulled apart and she went over to Eleanor and Brooke. harry was walking towards me.

"I'm really sorry." he said with an apologetic look on his face.

"harry its okay." i said giving him a peck on the lips.
