"why were you out in the park and not at home?"
this is the question i was dreading to hear.
Riley's P.O.V
"umm its a long story" i answered unsure on whether to tell him or not.
"look i know i have bullied you, but now i see what you are really like. i never got a chance to get to know you, but now that we are here now i would really like the chance to get to know you. please just give me a chance?"
i cant believe that just came out of Harry Styles' mouth.
i let out a sigh and started telling Harry everything that happened since my mom left us. he sat there the whole time listening intently.
"i am so sorry, i really had no idea that, that was happening to you" Harry replied with a look of apologetic in his eyes.
"now as you can see my life is clearly hell. self-harming was my way of getting away from tall the bad things in my life"
"how long have you been self-hraming?"
"4 years" i said staring down at my feet.
i looked up at Harry and i saw tears building up in his eyes. I, Riley Bard just made Harry Styles cry? who knew.
Harry'S P.O.V
i can't believe that i have caused a helpless kind girl so much pain. i cant believe her own father would do that to her. she showed me her stomach where her dad kicked her that night.
the least i can do for her is let her stay at my place for a couple of days.
the truth is i have had a crush on Riley since 6th grade. i knew she didnt like me back so i started taking my anger out on her. i regret everything i did to her for the past 6 years. If only she knew how i really felt about her.
