"Julia, ye look fine." George was trying to get me to leave but I wanted to finish my hair first. I finished by putting a clip in it.

"There. Done." I turned around and kissed him. "Let's go."

We walked to his house and he opened the door for me. "Why hello there!" I heard a woman say. It was his mother. She immediately sprung off the couch and greeted me.

"Hi Mrs. Harrison." I said shyly. I've never gotten close to George's mother. I only met her once so I didn't want her to think that I'm not good enough for her son.

"Come in, come in." She walked me to the couch and had me take a seat. "Would you like anything to eat or drink while dinner is getting ready?"

"No thank you. I'm fine really." She ran into the kitchen. "Dinner 'ill be ready in ha'f an hour!" She called out.

George sat down next to me. I moved over to get closer to George. His mother came in with a cup of tea. "I know ye said you didn't want anythin' but I got ye water just in case." I smiled and thanked her.

"Do ye want to go upstairs?" Asked George. I nodded and he took my hand and led me to his room. He opened the door and I walked in. There was at least three guitars. He had a turntable and a load of records.

"Sorry about me mum. She can get a little... ye know." I nodded. I sat on his bed and picked up his acoustic guitar. I started to play the only song I know. Twenty Flight Rock by Eddie Cochran. I even started signing. Of course I was horrible because I hadn't played that song in a long time.

When I finished George looked at me surprised. "I didn't know you could play."

"Yeah a little. That's the only song I know though." I lightly strummed the guitar. "Can you play something for me?"

"I can think o' one." He grabbed one of his guitars and started playing.

"Did you write that?" I asked astonished. He nodded proudly. "You were my inspiration." I smiled and laid my head on his shoulder. He placed his arm around my shoulder and we just stayed there for a few moments. I looked up and saw him staring at me. We nearly kissed when a voice yelled out and ruined the moment,

"Dinner's ready!"

"Maybe next time," laughed George. I walked out of the room and started going one way. "Where are ye going? The kitchen's this way," he chuckled. I turned around and grabbed George's hand, "Lead the way."

He led me downstairs to find the table set and the food, lasagna, on the plates.

"Well you two kids have fun. I'm off to me friends house. Don't do anythin' while I'm gone." She grabbed her coat and headed for the door.

"Mum!"

I blushed as she left.

"I'm really really sorry for me mum. She can be a little hyper at times." He scratched the back of his head nervously.

"It's fine. I actually like your mom." He pulled the chair out for me to sit on then sat across from me.

"Not if ye live with 'er" He said.

"Oh come on. She can't be that bad."

"Try 'aving 'er over your head 24/7."

"Okay okay okay. I only met her twice." I put my hands up showing defeat. He chuckled. "What's so funny?"
