The next day I went to school alone. Usually, George and I walk to school but I didn't see him at all.
When I got to class I saw him sitting in his chair drawing something in his notebook. He looked up and I waved but he didn't wave back. I was confused and hurt.
Have I done something wrong? Did I say something wrong?
I sat down and put my books on the table. "Hi" I said hoping that maybe he just hadn't noticed me. He ignored me. I didn't know why. But I for once tried to listen to the teacher. But as usual I almost fell asleep. I hate algebra.

As soon as the bell rang George was out of his seat. He didn't stop and wait for me like he normally does. I got up and and walked out the door. George was already half way down the hallway.
I ran up to him and grabbed his shoulder. "George stop!" I could hear the sadness in my voice. He turned around.
"What" he said harshly. "Why won't you talk to me?" I asked.
"Oh I don't know? Why don't you ask Paul?" he said sarcastically.
Then I realized he must have seen me and Paul yesterday. "George, we were just hanging out as friends, I swear," I said on the verge of tears.
"Well it didn't just look like friends too me" he spat and he walked away. I just stood there. I didn't want to go to my next class. I didn't want to see George there. I just decided to blow it off.
I decided to skip the next few classes as well.

I went to lunch and got whatever was on the menu today. Disgusting or not I didn't care. I went to go sit next Kaithlyn and tell her everything that happened. Maybe she could help.
"Hey" I said as I sat down on the bench across from her. "Hey, what's wrong?" she asked concerned.
"What makes you think something's wrong?" I put on a fake smile.
"'Cause you don't have your real smile on"
"Okay fine, I'll tell you. So yesterday I hung out with Paul after band practice. I had forgotten my jacket and he wanted me to show him how I play guitar. He invited me over for dinner and afterwards he showed my Strawberry Fields." I explained. "But I didn't tell George."
"So I guess George saw us together and got jealous" I finished.
"What are you going to do?" she asked me. "I don't know he won't talk to me" I said sadly.
"Well why don't you leave him a note or something in his notebook." she tried helping.
"No he probably will think it's just another piece of paper." I shot down the idea.
"You could get Paul to explain that you guys are just friends." she suggested.
"No because then George will think that we do have something when Paul tells him" I felt a tear go down my cheek. I didn't know what to do.
"Don't cry everything is going to fine. I promise" she reassured me but I was still worried.

I walked home as fast as I could. George walking on the other side of the street. I looked up at him but he didn't look back at me. I got home. I went directly to my room, laid on my bed started to cry. I held the teddy bear George won for me on our first date.
I don't know what it is about him that makes him so special. We've only gone out a few times but I won't give up on him.
I wanted to explain everything that happened. I wanted to tell him that it's was him that I like. Not Paul.
He won't listen to me or talk to me and its all Paul's fault.
