Lauren's POV

Ugh, I don't understand me either.

Here I am lying on this stupid bed in the nurse's office with a throbbing head because stupid Charlie knocked me over. Why is she so stupid? Like with her stupidly beautiful eyes and her stupid flirty smile and her stupid everything. Aghhhh, my heart is basically working like double time whenever she's around and it's so annoying. I get that I kissed her, and obviously I did it without thinking and I just can't face talking about it with her. It's too awkward and I don't deal with awkward situations well... plus I'm more scared of what she would say I think. Not to mention Jenna, like yikes she scares the crap out of me still, she always did. Yeah I know shh, I'm a coward.

I don't know why I'm still doing this defensive front. I just kicked Charlie out and all I want is to be around her, I make no sense.

Not gonna lie though, her flirting in gym just now was such a major turn on. She was doing it with everyone though so like how am I supposed to feel about that? I know she's straight, so it wasn't like flirting flirting, it was more like teasing, but yeah. It's more her smirks that come across flirtatiously and geez Louise they drive me crazy. Waaaaa, I hate this. I wish I didn't feel this way.

After I'd been lying here for like an hour I decided I'd had enough and I wanted to go back to gym, so I got up and walked out. Gym is like a 3 hour long class so I'd only missed like half and we still had an hour left. I headed back out through the double doors and started making my way to the softball pitch. Everyone was just sitting or lying on the grass talking and messing about, I guess coach gave them a break. As I got closer I couldn't help but scan around for Charlie. I found her sat awkwardly with Stacey on her lap. God she makes me so angry. We were friends but lately we just haven't been talking much at all and I'm more than happy with that because it's so blatantly obvious that she likes Charlie, and that pisses me off.

They hadn't seen me walk over so I just plonked myself heavily down across from them and forced a smile. "Hey," I said.

Charlie looked away from Stacey and blushed slightly before greeting me, "oh hi, how's your head?"

"Yeah it's okay, I'll live," I winked at her and she went a little redder and looked away. Stacey had this annoyed expression on her face, which made me very chuffed with myself, and she took Charlie's cap that she was wearing off of her head and put it on herself. Bitch.

"Laur! You're alive!" Jaz yelled from behind and came running over and sat next to me.

"Yeah, funny that," I smirked sarcastically and she rolled her eyes. "Did I miss much?" I asked her.

"Nah, we just played more ball and now we're chilling and talking. Oh the gossip though! Apparently Madison cheated on Luke at a party last weekend!" She said dramatically.

"Omg seriously? That's so bad," I said shocked.

"I know right, so what are you up to this weekend?" I could feel Charlie staring at me but I continued to direct my attention to Jaz.

"Oh nothing much, filming a new cover and doing a photoshoot but that's it. What about you guys?" I shrugged and asked the three of them. Jaz was about to speak when Stacey cut her off.

"Charlie's going to coach me to learn to run as amazingly as her," she said boastingly whilst smirking at me.

"Are you actually serious?" I said way more aggressively than I should have done. I knew I looked pissed off so I quickly hid it and forced a smile. My patience with this girl was wearing thin. She was now sat on the grass but her legs were draped across Charlie's. Charlie looked at me nervously like she wasn't sure of what to say but Stacey just nodded enthusiastically, "yep, Saturday lunchtime."
