Chapter 28

Niall was scared. Didn't they just work out all that had to be worked out last weekend? How could something already be wrong?

"What's wrong?" He managed to say without his voice cracking.

"It's.. About Justin.." She sighed. Sarah saw Niall's jaw and fists clench already. This was off to a good start.

Niall was expecting anything but Justin. What happened this time? Did his sister say something to her again?

"So before you freak or get mad promise you'll let me explain." She added.

"Ok.."

"So he's in one of my classes, and he sat beside me today. He started talking to me.."

"Fuck." Niall stood up and ran his fingers through his hair.

"Niall I didn't even say anything I.."

"He fucking sat beside you Sarah! That's all I need to hear!"

"You promised you would let me explain.." She mumbled.

Niall's heart sunk when he saw the disappointed look on her face. He did promise her.

"Sorry, I just.. Continue." He stood where he was, with both hands were behind his neck.

"I didn't want him to but he did. He told me he got help. I don't know if I should believe him. But then after when class ended, I tried to get out of there as soon as possible. He stopped me and told me he still cared about me.. I was in shock like what the fuck? Why would he tell me this now? Then he saw me again after school and asked if I needed a ride home."

"And that's it? That's all the happened?" Niall asked. It took everything in him not to say something when Sarah said Justin told her he still cares about her.

"Yeah.. You can freak out now.."

"Sarah, you shouldn't have let him talk to you! When he sat down beside you, you should've fucking moved!" Niall raised his voice.

"The class was filling up Niall, I had no where to go."

"Bullshit! Those classrooms have tons of seats Sarah, I'm sure you could've moved." Niall was pacing back and forth.

"By the time I found another spot my prof started the lesson!" Sarah started to raise hers as well. "It's not like I asked him to sit beside me either."

"So you tell him to fucking move! That would've been a good thing to do!"

"Ok yeah, but at the same time Niall, I was so in shock. I couldn't believe he was even in the same room as me! Then he started spilling his guts and then I really didn't know what to do!" Sarah was yelling at this point.

She knew this would be a touchy subject but not to the point of them yelling at each other. Niall was more pissed than usual. She's always wanted to know why.

"Is that why you asked Avery to pick you up?" Niall sounded like he was calming down a bit.

"Yeah, I just wanted to get as far away from him as possible." Sarah lowered her voice as well.

"Jade would've let me leave a few minutes early Sarah. I still could've came to get you." Niall sighed.

"I didn't know that, plus Avery was closer.. So I just figured.." Sarah shrugged.

"So he told you he still cares about you?" Niall asked.

"Yeah.."

"Do you still care about him?" The edge was clear in Niall's voice.
