Niall's POV

Work today wasn't too bad today. It was long, but it wasn't horrible. Zack was in today, so it was nice to catch up with him, and working with him always makes shifts go by a lot quicker. Quite a few people came in to hand in resumes now that it's the Christmas season. I have no idea if we're still hiring, but I took them anyway. Jade can decide if she wants to hire people or not. Thinking of the Christmas season, I have to start thinking of what to get my parents, the guys, if we're even doing that this year, and Sarah. Christ she's going to be the hardest to shop for.

As I walk through the mall and look at stores and think of ideas. I walk past some jewelry store and am reminded of a bracelet my mom has. It's a charm one, and you can build it up with as many or as little charms as you want. I forget the name so I'm going to have to call my mom while I'm driving to Sarah's.

It freezing outside and I wish would've brought a thicker coat. Fuck it's windy. I sprint the rest of the way to my car.

I've never been so relieved to be in my car. I just hope this mall isn't a fucking zoo to get out of. It isn't too bad getting to the intersection. But when the light turns green, the person in front of me doesn't start move.

"Are you waiting for the light to turn fucking purple?" I yell, and he finally drives off. Some people just shouldn't be driving.

When I get to another red light, I pull out my phone and dial my moms number.

"Hello?" She practically yells and it catches me off guard.

"Mom why are yelling?"

"Because your father seems to think I moved his socks out of the drawer." She puts too much emphasis on some of those words making me realize she wants my dad to hear her.

I can hear my dad yell back in the distance. "I swear to god Maura you moved them!"

I roll my eyes.

"Ok mom, really quickly I-"

"Don't get married Niall it's a trap. Actually no, get married. I want grandchildren."

"Which is it?"

"Grandchildren. But that's not what you called to talk to me about right?"

"No, you know that charm bracelet you have? The one that you've literally filled up with the little charms dad got you."

"Are you talking about my Pandora bracelet?"

Pandora! That's what it's called.

"Yeah that's the one!"

"What about it?"

"Well I want to get one for Sarah for Christmas but-"

"Niall!" She gasps.

"What?"

"That's an adorable gift!"

"But her birthday comes before Christmas, so I don't know what to do."

"Well figure out if she has one yet, and then you go from there."

I've now reached Sarah's apartment and have just parked my car.

"Well I'm at her apartment now, I'll text you when I know."

"Ok good, because I want to help! Oh and also try to see what she wants from there."

"Ok, bye mom. Love you."

"Love you too."

The line goes dead.

...

I knock on Sarah's door and wait for her to open the door.

"Hi," she jumps up on her toes to kiss me. "How was work?"

"It was shit." I take off my shoes and hang my coat up so Sarah doesn't have to do it.

She's already half way to the couch. She's walking better. I walk over and join her on the couch.

"So, how are your stitches?"

"Don't ask, they're gross."

"What do you mean?"

She turns over and lifts her shirt up to show me. "Look they're hideous."

Last time I checked stitches weren't supposed to be good looking. After all, Sarah's the only one who really sees them. But I don't want her to feel bad about them.

"They're not that bad Sarah." I try to reason with her.

"You're just saying that." She pulls down her shirt and crosses her arms over her chest. She leans back on the couch and stares at the floor.

"Sarah." I whisper. She doesn't move.

I tap her shoulder. "Pst, Sarah."

This shifts a bit. Then I tap her shoulder again. "Psst, Sarah."

She bites the inside of her cheek. I continue to tap her shoulder. "Pssssssst , Sarah I need to ask you something."

"Oh my god Niall what?" She laughs.

"I need your help with something."

"What's that?"

"Do you have one of those Pandora bracelets? My mom has one and I want to get her a charm but I don't know which charm."

"No, but I want one. I just haven't had the time to go in and get one. But as for looking for charms.." She gets off the couch and runs off to her room. I begin to text my mom.

Sarah's POV

While helping Niall look for charms, I want to find some that I can get my mom as well. I pick my laptop off my bed and return to the living room.

Niall has his elbows propped up on his knees staring at his phone. He rubs his nose and sniffles. That's probably one of the cutest things I've seen him do so far.

I sit down on the couch and pull up the Pandora website. I click the tab labeled charms and begin to go through them with Niall.

Niall's POV

Sarah begins to go on and on about the charms on the screen. She talks about the coloured ones, ones with gold in them, birthstone charms, animal charms and charms like the soccer ball, and the double decker bus. I think I've decided which ones to get.

Then she clicks the rings and talks about the ones you can stack, the ones you can wear on their own.

I think instead, I'll get her a ring and something really special for her birthday, and get her the bracelet for Christmas. I just have to make sure no one else gets her that for Christmas.

Sarah's POV

My eyes begin to burn a bit, so I close my laptop and bring it back to my room. I hope I helped him out a bit on what to get his mom.

I plop myself back on the couch. "Ugh, I'm so tired and I've done nothing all day."

"You went to Starbucks." Niall points to the cup and bag of cookies on the coffee table.

"Oh no, Harry brought that over."

"Harry brought you Starbucks?" He raises an eyebrow. "When?"

"When he came over.."

"When did he come over?"

"Not too long before you."

"For how long?"

"Not long, his mom called and he had to go."

I don't know where this is going. Is he mad at me?

"Why?" How many questions is he going to ask?

"Well he called and I was bored so I invited him over."

"This isn't going to happen more often is it?"

"No, no. I just didn't want to be alone today."

He nods slightly and leans back. I feel bad. I don't want Niall taking it too personally. He's just a friend. If Niall wasn't at work, I wouldn't even have talked to Harry today.

I slowly get up from my spot and go over to Niall's side. I straddle his lap and he carefully places his hands on my waist. I lean in close to his lips, and within seconds they're touching. Just moments later Niall moves so that he's on top of me as I'm laying back but I accidentally move and land on my bad side.

I wince.

"Are you ok?" Niall helps me sit up straight. I nod, and start laughing.

"Why are you laughing?" He looks worried.

"I have no idea." But what made me think I was physically capable of doing that when I can't even get off the couch properly.

"Sarah stop laughing, you scared me." He wipes his hands over his face.

"Why? I'm fine. But just to be safe how about we wait a but before we do that again."

"Agreed."

I really wish I didn't have this horrid stitches. It's been a while since Niall and I have done anything and I'm dying.

"I swear the day I get these out.."

"There's no rush, just make sure you're properly healed first."

Does he not know how sexually frustrated I am that I can't do anything because of these fucking stitches?

"Ok." I sigh. "I'm hungry though."

"Then how about we make something."

"That would be great." I giggle and he kisses me gently.
