Niall's POV

I'm not sure what time it is when I wake up, Sarah is already up watching tv. My back is killing me from the awkward position I slept in and I'm pretty sure my left arm is asleep because I can't feel it.

You have to be fucking kidding me. She's watching fucking Adventure Time. If I didn't love her so much, and she wasn't in a bit of pain still, I would take the remote from her. I groan and she turns over; she winces when she moves to fast.

Sarah's POV

I hear Niall groan so I'm assuming he's awake and noticed I was watching Adventure Time; his favourite show. I turn over but I turn too fast and feel a short sharp pain. It goes away quickly which I'm happy about.

"Morning." I say quietly.

"Morning." He says and kisses my head.

"I thought you might've left after I fell asleep."

"Why would I do that? You told me to stay."

I feel stupid for saying that, but his answer made me happy.

"Thank you." I say and mean.

"Anytime baby."

He hasn't called me that in a while and it's good to hear.

There's a knock on the door and the nurse comes in shortly after. Niall gets off of the bed so I can sit up better on it.

Two nurses come in: one of them is a bit older with darker skin and there's bits of grey in her hair, and another one who is younger with brown hair pulled up into a bun.

The older one has a basket in her hands and I'm assuming they'll be running some tests to see if I'm healing properly. The younger one has a tray of food and thank god because I'm starving.

"Honey you can go get something to eat now. The cafeteria is open." The older one says to Niall. He looks back at me, he doesn't say anything but judging by the look on his face, he's asking me of I'll be ok on my own. I nod, and he gives me a quick kiss before he goes. I miss him already.

"Is he your boyfriend?" The older one asks. I read her name tag. Her name is Gloria. The other nurse I guess is more shy, since she's checking over my IV.

"Yeah." I reply to Gloria.

"He's a cutie." She says winking at me.

He's more than a cutie.

"Yeah." My voice cracks.

"We'll talk more about him after we get your tests done." She says getting a needle from the other nurse, and now is when I really wish Niall was here.

Niall's POV

I hate leaving Sarah there. There were needles in that basket, she hates needles. Should I go back?

I approach the cafeteria and just grab a coffee. I can't eat anything, my stomach is in knots.

I see Sarah's family and Avery walk down the hall as I'm walking back to Sarah's room.

"Hey Niall!" Her mom shouts. Avery has a bag of what I'm assuming is Sarah's belongings.

"Hey guys, she was just getting some testing done and I'm not sure if they're done or not."
