Sarah and Niall took turns brushing their teeth and washing their faces. Sarah's stomach kept making noises all morning. She got so embarrassed every time it rumbled, but Niall just found it kind of funny. It happens to everyone she had no reason to be embarrassed.
"Do you want a bagel with cream cheese or something?" Niall asked while Sarah was brushing her teeth.
She nodded to avoid speaking with a mouth filled with toothpaste. Niall was leaning against the door frame, but pushed off it to walk towards the kitchen. Sarah continued to brush her teeth. She was kind of excited to be running errands with Niall today.
Once she finished brushing her teeth she rinsed out her mouth. She cupped her hands under the cold running water and splashed it over her face a few times. Sarah grabbed the towel hanging on the side of the wall and dried her face. She closed the light in the bathroom and walked into the kitchen to join Niall. He had just got the cream cheese from the fridge, and took the bagel out of the toaster. She sat down on the open counter top beside him.
"Thanks." She said.
"You're welcome," he said without looking up from spreading the cream cheese. "I make a fantastic cream cheese bagel let me tell you."
"Do you?"
"Just you wait."
Niall finished making the bagel and handed the plate to Sarah. She picked up one of the pieces on the plate and took a bite. She got cream cheese on her upper lip but didn't notice.
"So how is it?" He asked trying not to laugh at the cream cheese on her lip.
"Good." She said with her mouth full.
"Told ya." He said putting the knife he used into the sink and the cream cheese back into the fridge. He got her a glass of water while she ate.
Sarah notice Niall grab the glass, but she thought he was getting it for himself. He always treated her so well.
"I don't deserve you." She said taking a sip from the glass Niall gave her.
"Yes you do." He corrected her. He didn't like how she said that. It wasn't true. Both of them deserved each other. They were good for one another. Sure they butt heads from time to time, but let's be honest what couple doesn't? Even when they did, they would just laugh after and that's what matters.
Sarah opened her mouth to speak, but Niall stopped her. "Sarah, I'm really not having this conversation." He smiled to soften his almost harsh words. He didn't want to waste time bickering back and forth about who is better for who and all that crap. She finished her bagel, put the plate in the sink and began to wash it quickly.
"You could have just put it in the dish washer." Niall said.
"Why? This takes two seconds." She was done sooner than he thought she would be. She just hated leaving plates in the sink; she'll either wash them, or put them in the dish washer.
"Ready to go?" She asked drying her hands.
"Yeah." Niall was happy Sarah didn't complain abut going out in one of Niall's baggy shirts. She tucked a part of it in slightly in the front. He thought she wore it better than him. It was also a relief she didn't flip out about not having makeup or her hair done, or that she couldn't go out dressed like that.
They walked towards the door and slipped on their shoes. Niall put his keys in his pocket for when they get his car later. "I forgot my purse at home." She frowned. "We have to pass my apartment anyway, do you mind if I run in quickly?"
He wanted to tell her no, and that he would pay for her, but he knew exactly how that would go. Why couldn't she just let him buy her things? He will never understand that. He agreed, but plotted to pay for whatever she needed at the cash.
