Niall's fists and jaw clenched. He had so many things to say but he didn't know where to start. First of all, he was furious. She let him wandering around that party like a lost puppy. And second, who she was with. As if it wasn't bad enough she stood him up at his own party, the person she was with was someone Niall couldn't stand.
He pushed past Sarah and started passing around the living room. Sarah let out a shaky breath and closed the door. She knew he was going to yell. His facial expressions said it all. This wasn't going to blow over easily. She felt like she was going to throw up. More importantly, she felt like Niall wasn't going to reason with her. He's probably just going yell and scream and not even let her explain. He's not a rational person when he's angry. Then again who really is? Sarah took a seat on he edge of the couch.
"Are you mad?" Her voice faded.
"Mad? No.. I'm fucking fuming."
Here comes the curse words. Sarah liked when he swore, but not when they were words of anger.
"Well can you just hear me out before you start yelling?"
"I'm already yelling. Sarah what the fuck? You told me you were coming after your practice. So I was like fine she's probably just getting ready. Then time goes by and you're still not there. I kept looking for you, I couldn't even enjoy myself because I was waiting for you!" His was was red, and there was a vein popping out of his neck from how angry he was. Sarah felt tears sting in her eyes. She did feel terrible for not telling him she'd be late or something came up. Even if she did that he would ask why. She couldn't lie to him.
"But if you could just.."
"Why should I?" He spat.
"Because I'm your girlfriend and you can at least give me that." She stood up. Her voice got caught in her throat because she was trying her hardest not to shed a tear. It wasn't working.
Niall huffed and Sarah began. Whether he wanted to hear it or not he was going to.
"I was ready to leave, I was going to text you that I was leaving too."
Niall's facial expression didn't soften at all. He stood in front of her with the coffee table between them.
"Then I heard someone yelling.. Actually practically screaming my name in the hallway. I got nervous, so I checked."
"Of course you did."
"Ok, honestly, if you're gonna continue that you might as well leave now. Because I'm not gonna stand for it." Tears spilled down her cheeks.
Niall didn't move so she took it as a cue to continue.
"He was on the floor, wasted, people started to get angry and the only way to make him stop was to listen to what he had to say. At first I thought was he was just gonna ramble on and on about nonsense but he didn't. I got answers to questions I've been asking myself for the longest time. Then he kis..."
Niall's eyes darted up from the floor and made contact with Sarah's. If she thought he was angry before, he's probably past his boiling point now.
"What?" His voice was loud causing Sarah to shiver. "Tell me he kissed you."
Sarah didn't move. She was too scared to say yes or anything else.
"Answer me Sarah. Yes or.."
"Yes." She barely whispered.
"Yes?"
"Yes! He kissed me and I pushed him off me. I didn't want him to I wasn't expecting it either..."
