Jungkook felt his palms sweat as he rang the doorbell.
He didn't know why he was so nervous. Shifting his weight constantly from one side of his leg to the other, he hated feeling the constant turning of his insides when waiting impatiently on the porch.
He rang the doorbell again.
A girl sang out a, "coming!" as loud steps were heard stumbling towards the door. Jungkook smiled hugely at the noise of the woman on the other side as he watched her open the door. His smile faltered a bit as the fact that the fumbling and clumpsy woman on the other side wasn't the one his mind kept referring to.
"Hi Kookie," she chimed sweetly as she ran back inside the house to grab her things. "Step inside for a bit, I'll be right with you," she yelled past her shoulder as she rushed through the hallways more.
"Hi...Racy," he sighed under his breath.
I'm here for Racy, he scolded internally when trying to get his mind to snap out of it. He had to stop thinking about you if he was going to stick to his words from that night.
Sure he knew he was being immature, but at the end of the day, ignorance was bliss wasn't it?
Unknowingly having his neck arch up towards the steps, his lips puckered as he bit nervously on his inner cheek.
"Is she here?" he asked softly to Racy who was putting her shoes on now.
Racy stopped for a moment, glancing over at Jungkook who swallowed harshly at the look in the woman's eyes. "I wanted to see her," he said smiling uncomfortably, confused over the look of discomfort in her eyes.
He waited for Racy to reply as searched for you to maybe pop out from your room.
He smiled lightly when remembering you waking up almost every morning to find him here. You would stumble on the stairs only to run down and greet him with a hug. Jungkook chose to never question why you were the only girl, other than Racy, who he would willingly wake up so early for...
"She's asleep," Racy mumbled when remembering the silent treatment you gave her when returning home.
Jungkook smiled largely at the thought of you back from Shawn's place. He still had no idea who the boy was, and the continuous thought of you staying with him bothered Jungkook. Jungkook didn't know why it irritated him.
"What's it to you anyway? Don't you like hate her or something now?" Racy grumbled as she grabbed her stuff and stood up.
Jungkook's brows jumped at two things. One, he didn't understand the sudden tone and attitude coming from the girl. Two, he was surprised by her choice of words. "Hate? No of course not," he popped out in awe, "Y/N's my friend."
"Oh really?" Racy asked as she laughed a bit while moving towards the door, "never knew friend's were that bitchy and rude to one another."
Jungkook's confusion simply grew at her remark, about to ask what was up with her, both froze at the door when a voice mumbled from the stairs.
"Well you're bithcy and rude to him all the time and yet he still considers you a friend," you defended from the stairs as your half-sleeping form moved tensely downstairs.
Jungkook's eyes met your form still in your pajamas. He smiled lightly only to have his smile falter when Racy suddenly nudged him.
"Yeah well he doesn't consider me as a friend," Racy piped grinning, "he's in love with me."
Jungkook's eyes narrowed so tightly at that as he studied the smug woman beside him.
Your lips parted at her saying such a thing so easily.
