The next morning Devin woke up with Riley curled up next to her side. The little girl had a small smile on her face and had her arms wrapped around her mother's arms. Devin smiled softly, kissed Riley's head, and moved quietly out of the bed. Her bedroom was now cleaned up as well as the rest of her apartment. She had spent majority of the night cleaning up with Corey and George while Riley had stayed with Abby. She was glad that Abby had stepped up and took care of Riley, she didn't want her daughter to see her weak and broken down.

As she moved through the apartment she noticed that only a few spots were damaged and needed repairing. Hopefully George could help her pick up some stuff at the hardware store so that she wouldn't have to call the landlord later on this afternoon. She sighed and headed into the kitchen to begin making breakfast for her and Riley. As she beat the eggs together she heard Riley open the bedroom door and run down the hall.

"Mommy!"

"I'm in the kitchen Ry."

Riley smiled brightly and ran right into Devin's legs.

"Hey baby, how was your day with daddy and aunt Abby yesterday?" She asked as she picked her up and say her in her booster seat at the counter.

"It was good." She replied. "Me and daddy watched a movie after he picked me up, then we had breakfast in the morning."

Devin nodded her head along as she listened to her daughter talk about what her and George talked about.

"What'd you and aunt Abby do?"

"She took me to aunt Nessa and puppy." Devin laughed at her continuous use of her nickname for Jorel. "Aunt Benna and uncle Pauly came over and he played me a song and we played at the park too."

"That sounds really fun, did uncle Corey come over too?"

Riley nodded her head, "Yeah he came over late and woke me up to bring me home."

"Oh okay, so you didn't get to play any games with him?"

"No, it was too late."

Devin smiled and placed a plate of eggs in front of Riley along with a sippy cup full of juice. Right as she was about to sit down herself a knock sounded on the door.

"Who here mommy?"

"I don't know, stay here and eat okay?" She said as she stood up and headed to the front door. When she opened the door she came face to face with Sid. He smiled sheepishly back at her, his hands shoved deep in his pants pockets.

"Hey Dev." He said. "Can we talk?"

She glanced back inside at Riley then back to Sid. She wasn't sure if she should even be standing there with him, especially after what had happened last night.

"Please Devin? Just let me explain myself."

She could hear the urgency in his voice and decided that she would give him only a few minuets to hear him out.

"Okay, come on in." She said stepping aside to let him walk inside.

"Hey Riley." He said sweetly, she smiled and held her arms up to him.

"Sidney!" She cried giggling and wrapped her arms around his neck. Devin laughed softly, as far as she knew Riley was the only he let call him by his full name.

He smiled and kissed her forehead gently, then sat her down on her feet. She latched onto his hand and pulled him into the living room to show him her new toys that Corey and Paul had gotten her. As she showed off her dolls and new nerf guns, Devin cleaned up the dishes and wiped down the countertops. She sighed and leaned up against the wall, she had to be honest with herself; Sid was absolutely amazing with Riley. Just watching him now play dress up with her made it extremely hard for Devin let herself be upset with him.
