Yes this was one of my One-Shots, but I really wanted to continue and many of you agreed so here it is.Takes place after Robin's funeral when Killian and Emma are reunited and act like the adorable little precious cupcakes that they are.
*Emma's POV*
I felt absolutely terrible. This wasn't supposed to happen, none of this was supposed to happen. Killian was never supposed to become the Dark One and die to save us all, just to get left in the Underworld. Robin was never supposed to get killed by Hades and leave Regina heartbroken. That's all I could think as I stood alone next to Robin's coffin- that because of me he had died and I hadn't even gotten Killian back.
Killian was the only one I wanted to see, the only one who knew how to comfort me. I hated the hope speeches when I felt like this, and while I loved my family, they just didn't give me that unquestioning comfort that Killian used to just by being in the same room. I missed him so much, I wondered if this awful ache inside me would ever go away. Just as I thought of what I'd give to see him a pulse of light knocked me a bit off balance and a moment later I heard something I thought I'd only hear in my memories.
"Swan?" Killian's questioning voice came from behind me and I whipped around.
"Killian," I breathed as tears filled my eyes again. He stepped forward and I ran to him, immediately crushing my lips against his for a deep kiss as his arms wrapped around me. Only our lips separated when we pulled away, both of us still wanting more and my hands fists as they held onto his jacket. "How-what- how are you here?"
"Zeus must have sent me back," he started, chuckling and still holding me close as I kissed his cheeks repeatedly. "As a reward for helping defeat Hades."
"I mean what?" my voice squeaked a bit as I pulled away enough to look at him, the goofiest grin on his face.
"Zeus, you know, the ruler of the Olympians, the most powerful-" I cut off his excited stuttering with my lips as we shared another hard kiss.
"I don't care," I mumbled against his lips, not ready to let him go. "I don't care how you're here, I'm just glad that you are."
"So are you," He said with relief as we hugged each other tightly, my face in the side of his neck. "I'm so happy you're alright."
"Not all of us are," I told him guiltily as I pulled away again to look at him. We both looked over at the coffin behind me, holding each other so close my cheek was against his with my hand in the hair at the back of his neck. He rubbed my back gently, just holding me in silence. "Everyone's waiting at Granny's for me, you wanna come?"
"You really think I'm going to say no to being with you at this point?" he asked with a hint of a smile and my lips twitched into a slight smile as well. "Come on, Swan, you're never getting rid of me now. Let's go mourn our friend with everyone."
"Is it bad that I'm this happy right now?" I asked quietly as we walked towards my car with our arms around each other, my eyes on the ground. "I know Robin was my fault, I just-"
"That was not your fault," he interjected, walking me past the car and down the street. "Knowing Hades, he would have found his way up here one way or another. There's nothing you did to cause this. And personally, I'm quite happy in this moment as well. I missed my Swan, and I did not enjoy thinking I'd never see her again."
"I missed you, too," I almost sobbed, wrapping my other arm around him as he squeezed me closer and kissed my forehead. We were almost to the diner so I was trying to get myself together but I just couldn't. He went towards the tables outside and I looked at him with confusion when he sat down at one. "What are you doing? Those chairs must me soaked."
