* Emma's POV *

"Oh good, you're here," mom greeted us when we showed up at the photo studio. "I brought a dress for you for the formal pictures, but you can take some in what you have on, too. I just want to cover our bases."

"Mom," I stopped her breathless rambling with a small smile. "That's fine, whatever you want."

"What I want is to know how my newest grandchild is doing," she said excitedly, practically bouncing as I dug the ultrasound picture from my back pocket and handed it to her. "Oh... it's beautiful. Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, everything's fine," I assured her, my hands resting on my bump and Killian's arm around me. "I'm twelve weeks along now, but everything looks good."

"Good," she sighed with relief, her eyes still on the picture. She shook her head after a moment, looking back up as she gave it back. "Well we should get this done so we can get you somewhere safer."

"Alright," I agreed with a sigh, kissing Killian's cheek before following her to a dressing room and going behind a curtain to put on the dress she'd picked out. "You know I can just stay at my house, right?"

"We'll see," She allowed but I could tell she had no intentions of letting me out of my sight, a wide smile coming to her face when I came back out. "I knew that would look great on you. Come on."

Once we were done taking every combination of photos my mother could think of we headed back to the loft, most everyone else going on the witch hunt while we went through the pictures. I knew whichever one I picked would go in the paper, but I also knew the queen would be waiting, watching to see what we did so I couldn't let us look weak.

"This is impossible," I sighed, sitting back in my chair and running my hand over my belly. "I don't want the one in the paper to be too... I don't even know, but all the ones that I like for that, I don't like for the family stuff."

"Well let's see what you have it narrowed down to," she said as she took the two from my other hand to look at. "They're both perfect. Why don't you just pick one for you and one for the paper, okay? We're keeping all of them anyway."

"Okay," I nodded, looking between the two for another moment before deciding. "I want to keep the first one, the other can go to the paper."
