* Emma's POV *
I had no idea what to do. It was freezing alone in the caves, too, especially given that I was only in Killian's shirt. I kept trying to get my magic to work, but I was getting nowhere. I didn't understand the point in taking me to be honest, given that they hadn't made a single move to hurt me or anyone else in the past two days.
"Well, Savior," the queen said as she came back towards me with a syringe in her hand. "I think it's time we rattle up this town, don't you?"
"I wouldn't if I were you," I said coldly, my skin shocking her and making her jump when she touched me. "I've literally gone to hell and back for the people I love, you're not going to scare me into seeing two versions of myself for you to split. If that's your plan you may as well let me go."
"We'll just see about that," she sneered, grabbing my arm and quickly injecting the liquid into me. I got a weird feeling in my stomach for a moment, but I could tell by her face that what she wanted wasn't happening. She stormed off, most likely to find Hyde, and I took the small surge of power to get myself out of there. I appeared in the room Killian and I had shared last night, hearing loud arguing downstairs. I just pulled on some of Killian's pajama pants and quickly ran down there, hoping they were all at least safe.
"I don't care how dangerous it is!" I heard Killian snap. "We found where they have her, and I'm going to get her back!"
"She left to protect you," My mom reminded him, no one noticing Henry running to hug me when I came in. "You know how angry she'd be if we let you put yourself in danger like that."
"I'm a centuries old pirate," he said flatly. "I'm think I can handle her being angry with me as long as she's safe."
"Really?" Regina prompted him, smirking a bit when she saw me behind him. "Why don't you tell her that then?"
"I'm will when I find her," he snapped back, turning to leave but stopping dead when he came face to face with me. "Swan..."
"Hey," I half smiled and he took me by surprise when he grabbed me, hugging me so tight I could barely breathe. I closed my eyes and just let him hold me for a moment, feeling him bury his face in my hair. "Its okay, I'm okay."
"How did you get out of there?" Regina asked me, no one seeming to think anything of Killian clinging to me. "We finally figured out where you where but we couldn't find a safe way in. We were actually just arguing over who was going to go."
"Yeah, I heard," I sighed as Killian let me go, keeping his arm around me with his hook on my hip and my side against his chest. I took his hand in both mine as I talked, threading our fingers together. "They'd been blocking my magic but then when she tried to use that serum on me something changed and I managed to get myself here."
"Well now that you've found some pants and the pirate has stopped yelling at everyone," she rolled her eyes and I glanced up to see him glaring at her. "Maybe we can back to trying to take down this witch."
"Alright, good idea," I agreed and we all found our way to the living room. We sat down and I curled into his side, feeling him relax with my hand on his chest. "So what have you guys found in the last few days?"
"Not much," Regina said with a bit of annoyance. "We've been too focused on getting you back so we haven't been able to delve into all the reading material in the library. Did she tell you anything?"
"No, not really," I shook my head. "When I got there she said something about finishing her plans, I met Hyde, they made me want to be sick when they made out, and then today she tried the serum on me."
"Tried it?" Zelena asked. "You mean it didn't work?"
"No, I just got a weird feeling and a surge of magic and got here," I shrugged. "Bringing out the worst in me must have been part of their plan, but now I have no idea."
"Then we should get to work," My mom said as she got up. "We'll head to the library, you guys should stay here with the kids."
"She's right," Regina said before I could argue. "Once they realize you're gone they're going to be looking for you and the easiest ways to get to you. Henry and the pirate. Just stay here and try to find something in the storybooks from New York."
"Fine," I agreed reluctantly. "Call if you find anything."
They left and Henry led Violet to the library down the hall while her father went to check on the voice. I went to change my clothes, not realizing Killian was following me until he closed the door behind us. I jumped and turned around, his lips finding mine before I could say anything. My back hit the wall and I quickly gripped his shirt, kissing him back just as urgently. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he quickly deepened the kiss, pressing me into the wall. I let him be the one to pull away, leaning his forehead on mine and meeting my eyes.
"I was worried about you," he said quietly, getting tears in his eyes as he looked at me. "I thought I'd lost you again."
"Hey," I said softly, putting my hand on his cheek and kissing him again lightly. "We've talked about this, we're not letting that happen again. You're right to be concerned, but you need to remember that I'll always be back and I'll always come back to only you."
"Aye, I know," he sighed, running his thumb along my bare waist under his shirt. "I just... miss you so much when I worry and god knows what the queen could have done to you."
"But I'm here now," I assured him with another soft kiss. "I just have to change and we'll go see what we can find so we can go home."
Sorry it's been so long, I'm a bit stuck on where to go with this so if you have any thought, please share. Later, loves!
