* Emma's POV *

"You're not touching her," Killian growled, being much more forceful this time and making me stand behind him though I was looking around him. "I know how you work, and you're not doing that to her. You take so much as one step closer to her and I swear I'll kill you without a second thought."

"Well its either that," he stepped closer and Killian's hold on my wrist behind him tightened. "Or I can kill you and take her anyway. It's been a long time since we've had one who can actually put up a fight."

I looked around and everyone looked terrified, making me decide to try to step in again. I carefully pried Killian's fingers off my wrist, keeping my hand on his arm to make sure he didn't freak out.

"Okay, we're done here," I said as I stepped in front of Killian to face this man I had yet to catch the name of. "You're not children with a favorite toy, I'm a human being and I can speak for myself. Now, you're going to leave without touching a single person in here, or I'm going to make you."

"You?" He scoffed but behind me Killian knew I wasn't bluffing. "A fluffy little princess is going to stop me? The most fearsome pirate on the sea?"

"No, that man is behind me," I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest. "And believe me, I'm no princess. I have no problem kicking your ass right here, right now."

He looked at me doubtfully and stepped forward, the fear and anger of the thought of him touching my Killian making my hands spark. For a moment I felt a flicker of that darkness and my magic flew at him without permission, shocking even me when he flew back into his men and they all toppled over.

"You may have won this time," the man sneered, all of them looking at me with fear in their eyes. "But next time you'll fight fair, I can assure you."

"This is as fair as it gets," Killian answered as he moved back in front of me. "I am never being separated from my girl again, so you may as well stop trying."

With that the men left, glaring at us the entire way. Everyone relaxed after the doors closed and went back to the party...except me. I turned around and hurried back up the stairs, brushing off Anna and Elsa's attempts to talk to me and vaguely aware of Killian calling after me. I got to a balcony and immediately threw up over the side, soon feeling fingers pulling my hair away from my face.

"Shh, Swan, it's alright," he soothed me gently, rubbing my back as I emptied my stomach and offering me a glass of water. "Come on, love, it'll help. Just drink it slow, alright?"

I just nodded, trying to take the cup as my hands shook and letting him wrap his arm around me. I leaned my head on his chest and closed my eyes, allowing him to comfort me as I did as he'd said. But suddenly I remembered that flicker I felt, pulling away abruptly.

"You shouldn't be near me," I said without looking at him. "You should be afraid of me like they are."

"What are you talking about?" He asked, taking a step closer but I took another two back. "Swan, why the bloody hell would I ever be afraid of the woman I love?"

"Because it was there," I whispered. "The darkness, I felt it. I didn't do that to them, I had no control."

"Emma, look at me," he said sternly but gently and I looked up at him through my eyelashes when he put his hands on my arms. "Its alright. You were afraid and you panicked, that doesn't mean the darkness is coming back. Do you trust me?"

"You know that I do," I said quietly, not noticing his hands gliding down my arms until he got to my hands and I froze. I knew if I trusted him then the moment he took my hands the sparking would stop, but I was still so afraid to hurt him. "Killian... I could really hurt you."

"Even as the dark one you didn't hurt me," he reminded me with his eyes locked on mine, slowly twining our fingers together until our palms met and smirking a bit when my magic died. "See? My Emma would never hurt me, not even by accident."

"I love you," I almost sobbed as I threw my arms around his neck and squeezed my eyes shut as I hugged him tightly. He always held me exactly the way I needed him to, his face in my hair as he too shook from the anxiety of all that had just happened. "I love you so much. This is why I pushed you away for so long, I hate being so afraid to lose you."

"Too bad," he mumbled into my hair, his fingertips digging into my back. "I'm never letting you go, no matter how hard you push."

"I don't want you to let me go," I admitted in a whisper, relaxing finally as he just held me. "This is my favorite place to be, right here in your arms."

I felt him smile, pulling away just enough to kiss me. It started soft but quickly grew more passionate, his tongue meeting mine as one of my hands slid up into his hair. My dress was too damn fluffy, getting in our way until he pressed me into the castle wall, my body forming to his and his to mine as we fought not to lose control right there.

"Hey, guys? Oh!" We heard Anna's voice and broke our kiss a bit too noisily, looking over to find her shocked in the doorway. "I'm so sorry, I was just coming to see if you were both okay and thank you for what you did down there. He's been terrorizing us for a while so it could have been so much worse."

"Of course," I half smiled, still breathing heavily as I slid my hands down to Killian's chest. "Its kind of what this family does."

"I know," she smiled as well. "Its just wanted to thank you anyway. I'm sure Elsa will in the morning, but most everyone is leaving now so she's down talking to them. That's another reason I came looking for you, you guys can go to bed if you want. Or whatever you want to do, though it kind of seems like you want to go to bed. Oh god, was that rude? I ramble a lot and-"

"It's alright," Killian assured her as we both fought the urge to laugh. "Its was actually thinking I'd go check on the ship since he has such an interest in it. I don't want to leave it unattended, so maybe we'll just stay the night there."

"Okay," she said with a strangely knowing smile. "We'll let you know if we find anything."

"Well," I sighed after she practically bounced away, looking back at Killian. "I guess I should go change so we can go, huh?"

"Not a chance," he grinned, taking me completely off guard when he scooped me up into his arms and I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck. "I've been dying to get you out of that dress all night, I'm not missing that opportunity."

"You," I smiled as I kissed him softly and hopped back to the ground. "Are just going to have to wait. I want to go to a tavern with the real you, and what I have in mind to wear will be even better. Be patient."

"Right, patient," he rolled his eyes, pulling me flush against him. "How long am I waiting this time?"

"Not long," I smirked, pulling away. "You just go wait for me downstairs and I'll go get changed."

He pouted but let me go. I went quickly to our room from earlier, taking my hair down so it fell in messy curls and making my makeup much more dramatic. I used my magic again to create the outfit I saw in my head, deciding against the jacket and going back downstairs.

*Writer's POV *

"Grandma! Grandpa!" Henry called as he ran down the stairs and they both looked up from where they were making dinner. "You guys have to read this!"

"What is it, kid?" David asked, putting his hand on his shoulder as he took the paper. "Did you write something else?"

"I woke up and it was there," he sighed. "This must be what they did last night at the ball. Blackbeard is trying to take mom."

"He's not the only one," Regina said as she came in with her sister, putting a piece of paper on the counter. "This was on my side table this morning. It looks like the queen is going to start taking people every day until she gets the Savior back.
